Deerwoode lodge and cabins was wonderful. Feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but only a few minutes from downtown Brevard. My husband and I stayed in the little red River Cabin, and it was delightful. It was very quiet and relaxing. We had a fantastic time and Matt with Deerwoode was great! I would definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay at Deerwoode Lodge and Cabins. We stayed in one of the cabins on the property and it was just what we were looking for. Quiet, laid back with trails, bamboo forest, ponds to fish in and the French Broad river runs right through the property. Lot's of Breweries in the area to go to, and the...

This property consists of cabins and a lodge minutes from the attractions of downtown Brevard and the music center. This large property maintains a country feeling. There are walking trails and plenty of fishing. It is a unique place because you feel like you are in the woods, but within a few minutes drive, all of the restaurants and shops...

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Bear cabin this month. The cabin was exactly as we anticipated. It was plenty large enough for the 2 of us. There were rocking chairs inside and on the porch - perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. There was a decent sized mini fridge, a coffee maker (with coffee...

First off my wife and I are senior citizens. My daughter made reservations about 3-4 weeks ago.they are usually booked up. The management is very friendly and accommodating When we arrived my first impression was that the buildings are old and in poor shape. The inside of our cottage was very clean ! Walls and floor are white and was...

This place was outstanding! The Bear cabin I stayed in was perfect for two people. Cozy, and had everything you need for a weekend away. The room was very clean and well kept. The grounds are an adventure themselves. There are trails all over the property in the forest and by the river. it is plenty to keep you busy....

Our stay at Deerwoode Lodge was absolutely wonderful! Only a mile from downtown Brevard, you feel like you are in the middle of no where. The sunrises and sunsets were so beautiful. Matt and his dad have done a awesome job with the property. 125 acres of woodland, ponds and trails and surrounded by the French Broad River. Our cabin,...

You can not find a place where the owners/operators Matt Mayes and his father Bill Mayes main focus is to help you have an awesome experience. They are accommodating and helpful and fun. I have stayed in a couple of different cabins and in the lodge and they all offered a positive experience. I loved walking around the property and...

Historic Deerwoode, 175 acres of green, sustainable, peaceful serenity and wildlife preserve along the banks of The French Broad River, one of the oldest rivers in the world. Once a summer camp built in 1923 and closed in 1991, Deerwoode has matured into a quiet retreat for adults only. Preserving the vintage, old hardwood structures, many unique old stone fireplaces, and all with lake, river and mountain views, makes Deerwoode a must stop when visiting WNC.
