My daughter used to be a housekeeper at this place until this past Saturday. Management is HORRIBLE. They allow all sorts of undesirable people into the motel and when my daughter was cleaning - she came across some drugs in one of the rooms. She walked out of the room immediately and then the woman who rented it - came running at her screaming that she stole her blunt and threatened to hit her! Management just stood there watching. So when I confronted them - they said they didn't know it had happened and that they asked the lady to leave or have the cops called. HELLO??? She had DRUGS! Which do you think she chose? They are incapable of keeping their guests or employees safe and I would not recommend this to anyone. On top of all of this they threatened my daughter the entire time she worked there with not giving her a good reference because she was too slow, she couldn't do the job...blah blah blah. After Saturday - we don't need their type of reference. Stay away from this place.

We had booked a room at Econo Lodge right beside of the Knights Inn, the room was the dirtiest we had ever seen. My husband called the Knights Inn for a room. The young man at the front desk (Anthony) was very kind and helpful. His Mother (Jane) is head of housekeeping was as helpful also. Both of them are the nicest people you will ever meet. The hotel was clean and very nice. Our room was the best. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We had a no smoking room and Jane brought her own outside chair for me to sit in when I smoked. You never find that kind of friendliness at a hotel, most employees are just there to do their job and go home. The employees make you feel right at home, like you are family. The price is great also. If you are staying in the Burlington, NC area this is the perfect hotel.

Checked in at 10pm...first room shown had a 'moldy.' smell.....was shown a second room....looked fine....woke up in the morning, put on my glasses and noticed the bed linen and the pillow covers had dark black hair all over. I have grey hair and the thought of my having slept on dirty linen made my skin crawl. Went to the front desk to complain and was told that I had picked the room and that I should have checked under the covers before I slept. I did not know that Microtel had a new policy. The lady at the front desk was rude. Complained to the Corporate office and they went through their procedures and told me they could not do anything about it.
You have been warned....avoid at all cost !!!

Dirty beds with hair. Hair on towels. Floor carpet was saturated with dirt. My clean socks were brown. Despite a sunny hot day the pool was locked. There appears to be some long term guests that stay up late drinking and carrying on. I will never be back. Beware.

Well I have stayed here several times in the last couple of months. Its very bare bones hotel , no amenities , but what else would you expect from a motel 6. The rooms are normally clean, even though this past thursday not as clean as I would expect it to be . The hotel is good for a 1 night stay over and that is it. There are some sketchy people staying in the hotel as well , so just beware of your surroundings.

9 nights there paid in advance (foolish!) No heat or air conditioning, and a gap in the a/c housing that allowed insects of impressive size to come in unimpeded. Maid? Once in over a week. Took a towel out, didn't replace. Maid left the drapes open to make sure anyone passing by could check for my presence and see if there was anything worth pilfering. Nightly domestic fights in the parking lot, a couple of which were VERY escalated, and lasted, literally, hours.

THEY OVERCHARGED ME BY 100%!!!!!!! When I called to complain about everything, management kindly offered to refund the amount I was overcharged and acted as though that was sufficient to make good on everything else. Management refused to do anything otherwise about the MANY issues. I complained 4 times about the heat/air not working, and they only sent maintenance ONCE. And that ONE visit ended with nothing being done- he said he had to get some different tools to fix it and never returned. I could see outside through the air conditioning unit since the housing did not match the unit installed.

Add to this, the phone and (world's slowest) internet were out 6 hours yesterday

They wouldn't give me a few nights complimentary for all the trouble, which meant they had someone who would have been there for several months leave. This hotel has not once been CLOSE to full while I was there, and I see why.

I called Motel 6's corporate offices, and they took notes and said "you haven't checked out so we can't help. WHAT???????????????? They overcharged me, gave me a room that was embarrassing, and Motel 6 doesn't care?

You do NOT want to stay here.

I stayed here Saturday night and the bathroom was filthy and full of hair. The toilet had blood as clear as day. The carpet obviously had not been vaccumed. It was awful. The Bates Motel was better! The place had even more hair and flakes at the vanity mirror. But I can say that the towels were neatly folded. However, I went to receptionist and got another room which I slept fully dressed. We just needed a place for the night. Long day of traveling.

Busy weekend in Burlington the ASA National Senior Softball tournament was over Labor Day weekend - We, had a confirmation indicating microwave & refrigerator in room and NO smoking - Upon check in was given a room the stunk of stale smoke as well as body odor - We did not get a microwave or a fridge and in questioning we were told SORRY but the price we paid for the room included fridge & microwaver in the room and was then NOT refunded - It wasn't the few dollar difference in price, it was the principal of the matter Also the property overbooked and some in our party and other we knew were turned away after pre-paying for the room The beds were awful more lumps and bumps than you can imagine The springs in the mattress stuck you in the back or side and the floor could have been more confortable but the floor it to was unsightly and I didn't want to walk on the floor in my bare feet - This property was SO BAD we left after two nights although we paid for three nights - Have been trying to call Motel 6 Customer Service number I have called four (4) times twice disconnected and twice on hold for over twenty (20) minutes trying now for the fifth (5th) time to get a human It's been 35 minutes and still I hear someone will be with you shortly Finally someone answered and I explained our situation - The customer service rep I spoke to was very nice and offered a coupon for one free night at any Motel 6 property and would contact the property directly - The free night was not expected but was a nice means to say sorry for your inconvenience - However this was from the Corporate level and not from this property in Burlington NC - I would suggest if you stayed here and had an awful stay as we did call Motel 6 Customer Service NOW

Are there bed bugs there?
Answer from David B

I saw roaches, ants, flies, and various other bugs (the door and A/C had large gaps permitting entry by all manner of insect) but no bedbugs. Personally, I would STRONGLY recommend finding a different place.
