Loved the Hampton Inn Carolina Beach. We will definitely be back. Nice to be able to walk to restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel for a get away to the beach. The Tiki Bar and fire pit were awesome as well.

Hi lindafromnj, I would say it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to drive to downtown Wilmington from Carolina Beach.

Do the king rooms have a pullout sofa bed? And can you get connecting rooms?
No sure about pullout bed. We didn't need it, but I seem to remember there was one.

How was the breakfast? Is it just cold or warm food too? Could you tell me what kind of stuff they have? Thanks
The breakfast area gives a wide assortment of hot and cold food. You make waffles which is fun they have all the toppings. scrambled eggs , sausages, bagels, toast , oatmeal, grits, fresh fruits, yogurt, bacon, biscuits and cold cereals. The coffee and tea selections are available thoughout the day.

Do you have in-room massage available?
No, I do not believe the hotel has this service. Best guess is to travel into Wilmington for a professional massage.

I actually have two questions.... 1) What is typically served for breakfast? and 2) Is the pool freshwater or saltwater?
I had omelets for breakfast one day, scrambled eggs one day, and sausage and biscuits, along with bacon, waffles, cereal, toast, muffins, etc. Really a Great breakfast! The pool was clean but not too much chlorine.
