Our five-night stay over Thanksgiving weekend was an extremely exceptional experience! This hotel's extreme cleanliness, great staff, and excellent management made this hotel stand out. When we initially checked in, the gentleman operating the front desk was friendly and accommodating to our requests, making our late-night check-in smooth after our flight from Flordia. In addition, the housekeepers who attended our room 508 did a fantastic job cleaning and making up the room and even came up after regular housekeeping hours after we forgot to request service. Lastly, the manager granted our request for a late checkout, which was a great help as our flight departed in the evening. Despite traveling a lot, I usually don't write reviews, good or bad, but I felt this property and staff deserved to be recognized for a job well done. I plan to stay at this property again when I visit Chapel Hill in a few months.

So i find I go to view reviews a lot when taking hotels into consideration so i wanted to write one to help out anyone who may be like me. I found that hotel to be a decent hotel. Below are my thoughts on my recent week long stay. The carpets in the halls are worn but not gross. The room itself was very nice. It had a refrigerator and microwave both of which came in very handy. The water pressure was wonderful in the sinks and shower and the water heated up immediately. My only true complaint (and it was a huge problem for me) is the bed was the hardest thing I think I have ever slept on. I spent 5 nights here and toward the end of the week, I would feel as if my thighs were bruised when I woke up in the mornings as I tend to sleep on my sides. Its unfortunate because the location could not have been better. I do have to say however this will keep me from going back. I could not do that for another week. I do wish they had a free breakfast or even coffee in the lobby but unfortunately, you have to pay for it as they operate as a Starbucks. I hope this was helpful.

It is always wonderful to walk into a hotel an immediately be greeted by a wonderful associate that makes you feel welcomed and special. I was greeted by such an individual named Aaleeyah. Aaleeyah was helpful, personable, and most importantly treated me very special (as I know she does everyone).
The hotel also has a very large, open lobby. Especially nice when I ate breakfast in the morning. Yolonda took great care of me personally making my breakfast and also bringing it out to me where I was sitting. Great food and service. Aaleeyah was back working front desk in the morning, so it was nice to interact with her again.
The hotel is well built and slightly off the road to insure a good night sleep.
The hotel is also located is a great area. I ran in the morning, and there is a trial connected to the hotel. I ran to the University of North Carolina which is two miles away, as is the heart of downtown Chapel Hill (a very quaint town).
I am very pleased I choose this hotel during my stay in the Raleigh/Chapel Hill area.

It seems to me now everything is excusable if company says “due to COVID....”. We were not told that there will be no house keeping service prior to check in (nothing on webpage, no mention from front desk at check in) but no one came to clean the room, no fresh towels, no refilling toiletries. We, the guest, have to go down front desk and bring up the all of those stuff ourself. We paid to stay in hotel and need to do the job which hotel employees supposed to do!!! Wish things were at least notifies at the reservation. This was not our first time staying this particular hotel, and price we paid now and prior to COVID is not far different. That seems to me that we were basically paying way more since there services are way too worse now. Very disappointed.

My husband and I reserved a four night stay at this property. The roon was a good size and nicely decorated with a good sized television and darkening shades under the curtains.There was a refrigerator but no microwave and the cheapest little coffee maker available. Important to me was the quality of the kleenex and the toilet paper which was very cheap; I purchased my own kleenex after the first day. There was no fan in the bathroom and as a result no air when the door was shut.
But the most important piece of information to know, and I have seen this mentioned in other reviews, the beds are so hard that I would wake up with numb legs from sleeping on my back. Did not get a good night's sleep during our stay. Would not recommend this property for that reason.

Wi-Fi is poor and calls to front desk and tech support not helpful. I’ve spent 56 nights in a hotel since January and know how to connect to wi-if, so it’s not user error. As Titanium Elite I asked if there was upgraded wi-fi capability and none was offered. Otherwise room was nice, clean and staff friendly. Unfortunately I won’t be returning since I require capability to work remote.

My stay here was excellent!! Front staff was great but two people that I can say went above and beyond were Cole and Charlotte. Cole made my stay here so pleasant and made me feel special recognizing me by my name every time he seen me. I remember telling him “ wow you remembered my name I feel soo special he then said you are special Mrs Gonzales “ that made my day. Charlotte from day one has been wonderful as soon as I arrived she recognized that I was a platinum rewards member so when I asked if I could be upgraded to a suite she didn’t hesitate to upgrade to accommodate my needs she also informed me of all the perks I would receive from being a platinum member without me asking. Cole and Charlotte made sure if I needed anything not hesitate to call them that they would do their best to accommodate me. There is one more person that I would like to recognize and it’s Dawud he also was great!

I made a reservation months ahead at a reduced rate. When we checked in the front desk clerk was confused about the reservation and cancelled one room for one day. This caused me to have to go a register again and pay additional money to keep the room. Additionally- For some reason I had to register every morning again to keep the room which interfered with my plans for the day. It was my daughter's wedding weekend and I missed some important time. I contacted the office manager and Marriott customer experience- they did not make any attempt to do any service recovery.
I suggest you stay away from this hotel. We used many other hotels that weekend for other guest and those were all excellent service. The front desk clerk Aaleeyah and the manager Charlotte have no intention of providing good service that you should obtain at a Marriott- especially since this was the front desk clerk fault.

Very ordinary, hotel showing some wear, front desk employee good but service generally lackluster, not a good value. Would not return to this property if return to this area. Parking convenient, HVAC a bit noisy.

I am in my room working at 5 PM when an unknown guest just unlocks the room door and comes in dragging his roller bag. The hotel had given away my room, even though I had checked in hours earlier. Here was the worst of it - the hotel manager called me to the front desk and proceeded to interrogate me like I was some squatter coming in off the street who somehow managed to access the room. Embarrassing. This was clearly a screwup on the hotel's part but you wouldn't guess that from my conversation with the manager.

Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Stayed there 2 times now.
Please know that all 169 of our guest rooms have a refrigerator.
Additionally, our Junior, King and Executive Suites also have microwaves.
