We stayed here for one night. Our room and the public areas were spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. All the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful

The Franklin is a great place to stay in Chapel Hill near the center of lots of stores and restaurants. It is also close to the university campus. The rooms are new, clean and well decorated. Our balcony view looking out onto Franklin Street was super. We enjoyed the bar with live music. All of the staff were courteous and...

Upscale hotel with Keurig & refrigerator in room. Nice comfortable beds & free wifi in room. Cookies at front desk lobby was a nice extra touch. Great location. I was fortunate enough to get a room with a balcony overlooking Franklin Street. The room price per night was a little expensive but the overall experience there was great! During our...

We stayed at the Franklin Hotel for UNC parent weekend. I have stayed there before and had good experiences. The hotel is very pricey but because it is one of the few in Chapel Hill within walking distance of the campus it can command higher prices. The prices for this particular weekend were raised extremely high for this busy weekend,...

Hi Katherine T, I'm so sorry that so many things went wrong during your stay with us recently. Please know that your experience is not indicative of the typical guest experience at The Franklin - in fact, we have the same management today as we did since taking over the hotel in 2009. We simply failed you in a series...

I attended a business meeting (9 people) at the hotel. We all stayed her and used their one meeting room. The 5 story hotel is Hilton affiliated and conveniently located to shops and restaurants. The desk staff here friendly, efficient, and helpful. The 4th floor had an open atrium area looking down to the 3rd floor. The hotel restaurant serves...

Hello Fontek, Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad that you enjoyed the location and quality of our hotel during your meeting taking place here. I'm sorry that the lack of well placed outlets made it hard for you to be productive. We are going to be retrofitting our rooms with multi outlet power/USB hubs to accommodate just what you are...

I would recommend this hotel if you are in Chapel Hill for business and are looking for a small hotel close to campus. It is a bit pricey but you are paying for location. Good value if you want to be close to Franklin Street and the main campus

Jim M, Thanks for your comments. Our location is truly unbeatable for access to downtown and the university - glad you found it convenient. Our rates tend to be higher b/c of the peak season in the fall, and are a little lower during the summers and winters. We hope you'll be back! Jay

I've stayed in several of the hotels in Chapel Hill and The Franklin is by far my favorite! The beds are so comfortable and afforded me the best night's sleep ever! So much so that I asked at the front desk what kind of mattresses were on the bed. I did upgrade to one of the rooms that had a...

I love Chapel Hill and have stayed at many of the hotels in the area including the Carolina Inn which is a close second. We called ahead because we wanted a suite with a rollaway bed for our little one. The service was incredible and they delivered on all promises. Pam E, I'm sorry that you had such a disturbance during sleeping hours. We will continue to look for hospitable ways to ensure some guests are not negatively affected by the activities of others. Thanks...
