The shower / toilet area is the worst! There is a single lightbulb in the exhaust fan and someone decided to use an energy efficient bulb. So when you enter and for several minutes afterwards it feels like you are in a cave. The dark brown shower walks and beige floor also don’t help. And know that the beds are very close to the bathroom. You can hear everything happening in the bathroom while lying in bed.
Know before you go:
*Staff is very friendly
*Hallways are darkly decorated
*Hotel allows pets which we weren’t aware of when making our plans. Even with COVID and a less than full hotel we were placed next to a large, loud family who owned a dog. I love animals but I don’t want to pay to listen to children bickering and dogs barking.
*On first night of stay there was a fire alarm and everyone evacuated while fire personnel investigated. After a while guests just started going back into the hotel on their own. Staff didn’t stop them or ever let us know what was happening.
*There are no restaurants in walking distance.
*Carpeting (especially hallways) need to be cleaned).
*There are NO ice machines! So if you are planning to fill your cooler, make an alternate plan.
*Guest laundry is available: $1 wash/$1.50 dry.
*Pool deck chairs need to be replaced-they are very faded and worn.
Only issue: I didn't think the beds were as comfortable as they might have been. A bit soft. And fitted sheet didn't quite cover the bed as well as it should have.
Otherwise a nice hotel.
With some updating and deep cleaning, this place would truly shine.
"May want to ask if the room you are given is next to a room with a dog. We heard one dog down the hall bark incessantly. "Read full review
