The Morehead Inn is relaxed. Lovely and unpretentious, this former private home built in 1917 by the Buick industrial magnet who had both North and South Carolina, the Inn is charming white frame, large and spacious, with its original crystal chandeliers and a staff that is the best in Charlotte. Warm and comfortable, it is minutes to everything and a...

This inn was the most disappointing bed and breakfast I've ever visited. It is cute looking, but on closer inspection, it was clear that it is not well kept up. The heavily rippled carpet in our room was the first sign, but the real problem was the king bed. It was so hard and lumpy that I woke up in...

This lovely old residence that has been converted to an Inn of 12-13 rooms is a real Gem. perfectly located..... very interesting rooms with no two alike. Comfortable and relaxing. A Chef that has the "South" in mind whenever cooking (it seemed to me anyway). with lovely food prepared perfectly. Breakfast too was pleasant and very tasty... so nice not...

The decor is charming, the front desk staff was welcoming, the location couldn't have been more perfect. I would give a perfect score if it weren't for the maid service. The maid ignored the signs saying they are a "green" facility, and replaced the towels that we were willing to reuse, threw out two barely used bars of soap (also...

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I sincerely apologize for the issue and it's been addressed. We pride ourselves on our comfortable level of service, as a "home away from home" environment. This clearly did not meet our expectations or yours.

The house is beautifully arranged with antique furniture. Each room is stylishly done! I found the staff to be very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was very good in the formal dining room. My room was Mt Vernon with a lovely fireplace and King sleigh bed with a sitting room off to the side.

Truly charming location, neighborhood and external building with multiple room options. I stayed in a room facing the main road in the main house. I was not expecting a sterile hotel room, but when I came into the room on a warm summer day, the windows were closed, and had to be propped open and it smelled like a stale...

An absolutely wonderful step back in time to 1919 when this impressive mansion was built. Excellently restored and tastefully furnished with antiques it is joy to be there. The service is wonderfully hospitable and personal I have stayed with them many times since I first discovered this gem. Even when it is fully occupied it is not crowded. The breakfast...

I've been staying here frequently during the last year when I've had to come to Charlotte, primarily because the service is so good. The manager Philomena makes everyone feel special and goes out of her way to accommodate us. And the historic nature of the inn and spaciousness is welcoming too. What struck me most on this visit was how...

Mother's Day Brunch at the Morehead Inn could not have been any better! The staff was gracious and warm, it felt like a homecoming and it some respects it was. Mother was made to feel very special with VIP treatment and service. The salmon on the buffet was perfectly seasoned and at the right temperature. It was the best I've...

This is a beautiful place close to downtown but it needs a lot of work.... The rooms smells mildews, they do not all have central heat, the mattresses need to be updated, the staff is casually trained. It is not expensive but it is too much for what you get.
