Very nice room with an amazing bathroom. The lobby area and the grounds were beautiful. The renovations were made with care preserving the original charm and elegance. We walked around the surrounding neighborhood enjoying the lovely historic homes. The breakfast was wonderful.

Great place to stay in Charlotte. Wonderful old building that has been modernised without losing its charm. Great bedrooms and very friendly staff. In a quiet neighbourhood but easy access to downtown. Great place to relax. Good breakfast.

A group I am involved with had a large dinner event at the Duke Mansion. We began the dinner outdoors. We were given bug spray for mosquitoes, if we were so inclined. It does get humid and hot in Charlotte, but it was quite a lovely thing to have the garden and patio all ours. The ambiance was very nice,...

The porches are in need of redecorating and the noise from the air conditioning kept us awake all night. (We had visited the Duke home in Newport RI and...

A really great place; very pretty, lovely grounds and helpful staff. Room was comfortable and quiet. Whilst the Duke does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, it is near several good restaurants (walking distance).
