The property is stunning. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We stayed two nights following our daughter's wedding in Asheville and it was the perfect place to wind down. The staff is very gracious and informative. We stayed close and there is a good selection of restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfast is exceptional and the evening coffee and cookies...

I stayed two nights for a company meeting and it felt like being invited to friends 100 years ago. The rooms were spacious and the staff made every effort to make us feel welcome. The food was great and the presentation of the history of the building was the icing on the cake.

The Grounds here are one of the prettiest grounds we've seen. Tons of gorgeous sitting areas. The neighborhood is beautiful. Our room was the most expensive room so they MUST fix the noisy air conditioner. It's so loud and so annoying, very hard to sleep! Our bathroom was gorgeous, they need to update their website bc it still has old...

We visited on the weekend when the mansion and gardens were open to the public so we did not experience it as a functioning B&B. The Mansion and gardens have been restored to their former glory. The Mansion is a historic bed & breakfast. The rooms on the 2nd floor are the prime ones. The 3rd floor rooms are smaller...

We chose to stay here because it looks so much like a very historic plantation-style home, and it does indeed look and feel fantastic. The service was great, our room was huge and very well-furnished and there was something rather lovely. We knew there was no pool, but in the scorching heat we would have loved a swim to cool...

I have stayed here for several business meetings and find it to be a nice alternative to chain hotels. The venue can handle groups of 25 or so very nicely for meetings. The rooms are large and can be a little quirky. My last room had a hall leading to my living area that had a hobbit height 5'10" passage....

Operated by a nonprofit and recently renovated, the house, gardens and guestrooms are perfect! We were greeted by a friendly innkeeper, there was an elevator for an easy luggage carry, newly remodeled bath with soaking tub and spacious marble shower and rain shower. Our room has a shared screened in porch which we ended up having all to ourselves. This...

This is a gorgeous restored mansion set in a fabulous acre of immaculate gardens. Decent location on the south side of town. It ought to be a treasure, but it's not. Here's why. There is no personal service - no owner who greets you as at other Select Registry inns. Only a (probably poorly paid) person at the front desk...

If you're visiting Charlotte, by all means consider staying at the Duke Mansion. Located in a lovely neighborhood less than three miles from downtown and the Mint museums, this elegant home will soothe your soul. There are only twenty rooms. The grounds are impeccable; children's garden, rose garden, herb garden and the great lawn make wandering a pleasure. You will...
