Great staff, from Front desk, to bar and valet. Nice, helpful, and a great place to stay. Robbin at the Front Desk, took stellar care of us, and Michael, tonight's Valet saved us from missing our concert. Thanks to all for the best stay ever!!

This wonderful old hotel is handsomely appointed, yet reasonably priced. The two fluffy clouds that hovered in room our proved to be as comfortable as they looked. Spa robes and high quality toiletries were very nice touches. We woke well rested and refreshed, just in time for the complimentary breakfast. The buffet featured both scrambled and hardboiled eggs, hot and...

We were running from Hurricane Matthew. The Dunhill staff was charming and helpful. The hotel itself is a wonderful historical property. It is clean, tasteful and the food was very good. The location is right down town in an excellent area. Highly recommend!

This hotel was very nice. The lobby was clean and inviting as was my room. The beds were very comfortable and noise was fairly minimal. The location is convenient and in a nice part of town. The downside was when I left my eyeglasses in the room by mistake. I would have expected the hotel to call me once those...

There was an odor issue with the room that we received. The staff handled the problem promptly and placed us in a different room. The room was very nice. The location of the hotel cannot be beat. Lobby bar has great service.

Location was perfect. Amenities were superb. The staff were all pleasant and kind. Speedy registration. The room was elegant and the bed ever so comfortable! The only thing I would change is ask for a room that wasn't at the front of the hotel - very noisy with nighttime traffic and again early in the morning when everyone is going...

Very clean and comfortable. Lovely free breakfast and a nice turn down service. Offers most of the amenities you would look for traveling on business. Limited room service menu from restaurant but was very good. Tomato soup and grilled cheese was excellent. Will be my pick for my Charlotte visits

If you like extra service, then this is the place for you to stay in downtown Charlotte. Lots of historical value and beautifully appointed accommodations in keeping with the time period of the roaring twenties, so if you're looking for a "modern" hotel, this really isn't. Comfortable rooms though, and updated bathrooms. The valet had my car ready for me...

Met friends here for a quick weekend trip since we all live in different parts of the U.S. We chose the Dunhill and were very impressed. Staff was great and accomodating to our needs. Plenty of nice restaurants and bars in the area. We will definitely be back!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Decades before The Dunhill Hotel would open, local architect Louis Asbury Sr. was entranced by the great Italian craftsmen who created cathedrals famous for their soaring, elegant roof lines. Today, The Dunhill Hotel stands distinct on the Charlotte skyline, an amalgam of American, British, and Italian influences, something those with an eye for period detail can detect. Opened in 1929 as the Mayfair Manor apartment hotel, with half of its original 100 rooms permanent residences, today's Dunhill Hotel is a thoughtful evolution. A full restoration was recently completed, and various on-going aesthetic improvements all share a common goal--to celebrate the original vision of Mr. Asbury, with a nod to the needs of the modern traveler. ... more   less
