In October you MUST make reservations ahead of your visit. It is a busy place. Usually quiet even though busy. Clean baths. Laundry area well lit and clean. Beautiful small creek with loads of trout. Some crazy little rules, but you learn to go with them. Concrete pads are level. Good water and electric. Phone and Wifi is almost nonexistent...

Stay here just before they closed for the season. A variety of site types ranging from tenting on the river to pull thrus with full hookups on paved pads. In a beautiful area surrounded by small mountains that had beautiful leaves that were changed for fall. The only problem,is that at night when everyone is using their fire ring, smoke...

We have stayed here before. It is not modern state of the art. But it is nice little place to camp. The owners are so nice. We try to stop in at least once a year or so. Great location. I have motorcycle and no issues.

we stay here last year and really enjoyed our stay. The spaces are very well appointed and right on the creek that is very peaceful. Just minutes from the new Cherokee casino in the small mountain town of Murphy, North Carolina. Beautiful area

My family and I moved to Georgia back in late 2013. We took our first East coast camping trip to a nearby Georgia campground which turned out to be a total disaster. It was so bad we have not been back out in nearly two years. I was itching to get back to the camping roots and disconnect from the...

We started visiting River Valley Campground when it was called Big Bear Campground. Our first visit was in the early 70's and haven't missed but a couple years of not going. It's has a small easy going atmosphere. The people are great the park is very well kept and the bath house very clean. The game room needs some old...

The campground is crowded when we went, but will say that it is quite, well maintained and gorgeous waking up to. I will definitely go back. We started at another campground in Bryson City of which the people lied about the place, I called this place and spoke to Gwen, she was absolutely fantastic and patient. She answered every question...

Arrived very late Thursday and was greeted politely and shown a spot that worked perfect. Very nice grounds and well kept up. We are picky where we go so it says a lot that I would travel here again. Pads were quite level and clean. Very sketchy phone service and I found their WiFi to be just about useless. I...

The website says that there is a playground for children, easy accessible bathrooms and trails but in reality it didn't there was nothing for kids to do there and the closest thing is Cherokee which is just a shopping trip and not a camping trip and the manager was very rude to women but treated men like royalty
