The breakfast was well kept, and replenished. The area and seating was kept very clean.
The hotel had a very pleasant appearance, especially with some not as nice looking hotels nearby.
There were a couple minor stains in room on permanent furnitures, but overall the room was clean, towels were clean and soft, and the hot water in the shower was very good. The value for the stay was great.
Friday ,15th October I called the hotel front desk around 6 p.m and confirmed that I am arriving around 11 p.m and made sure the rooms are availabile for me.Even one family from our group checked in at 6 p.m. and made sure the rooms would be available for others.
As planned we arrived at the hotel Friday, 15th Oct. at 11p.m. The person who was at the front desk name label Shuanc said the rooms are not available. I really thought he was joking since this is never experienced or heard whole my life. When I called customer service they said my rooms still shows available under my name even though front desk denied to give me the rooms saying they have given it to somebody else.
We were in a nightmare situation trying to find a roof over head driving back and forth in Durham till 2 a.m in the mid night since all the hoels were booked since there was a football game going on .Finally we managed to find only 2 bedrooms in Comfort Inn .3508 Mt. Moriah dr. Duraham . NC. We checked in 2.05 a.m overpaying $ 254.24 per room since it was last minute. Our whole party has to manage the night sleepless until we find another 3 rooms at the same hotel at 9.30 a.m next day ( Saturday , Oct 16th)
Finally we end up paying $1692.37 for mismanagement of Wyndham hotel system.Meanwhile your system still showing that i checked out on Sunday, October 17th.
The road leading to the hotel looks like a bomb hit it. Huge sinkholes (not pot holes) fill that road (cities fault). When you turn into the hotel parking lot there are major breaks in the asphalt everywhere. Needs a major overhaul.
Coming into the hotel there was trash overflowing everywhere. Out front (6pm) and going to the stairs, pool side (which is closed but the can is still overflowing somehow), and in the hallways. It was this way much of the weekend. Spoke with the front desk about this and they said they cut staff due to the virus. OK but one thing you can't cut back on is cleaning. Stairwells and hallways had a dirty look to them all weekend as well.
Room 220 was ok but needs updating. Mattress slumps to the middle making it seem you are sleeping on a roof. Toilet has two major hairline cracks along with the tub.
Came out Sunday morning 6 am to major trash all over the parking lot from losers throwing stuff on the ground from McDonalds. My wife even had to step over a used condom on the sidewalk.
No breakfast due to corona virus and pool closed.
Needless to say we were disappointed in this stay. Some things you understand with what is going on but there needs to be some major improvements at this hotel.
"Even tho it's July and 90+ degrees they do not open their pool even tho it is advertised. "Read full review
"The hotel was about 15 minutes from the ballpark which is why we chose this location."Read full review
