Jane and Tom Wood have created a perfect retreat in their 18th Century home on Albemarle Sound near Edenton, NC. We needed quiet and rest after a week plus of driving cross country and visiting with friends. We certainly found it here. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the breakfast was delicious, and Jane and Tom provided fascinating conversation. And here's...

Jane and Tom Wood were extremely hospitable and accommodating while we prepared for and celebrated the wedding. The setting could not have been more beautiful- the Inn is absolutely gorgeous and a fabulous place for wedding party to get ready and have pictures taken. I...

Gracious, kind hosts, beautiful quiet grounds and a very comfortable room. Exceptional, relaxed hospitality. Our room was clean and lovely. Beautiful art work and history surrounds you. I would definitely choose this over any accommodation in the area. Wonderful view on the Albemarle Sound. Delicious breakfast!

Made reservations in August for 3 rooms. Checked in on December 11th. The 2 bathrooms we had were filthy. We asked to have them cleaned and she used Windex. Took candlelight tour and came back around 9 pm. The place was still filthy. Bathrooms, dirty and ripped up towels, enough dust to make 10 bunnies, dirty table top surfaces, the...

Secluded B&B that was built as a plantation home in 1798. The beautiful grounds overlook the Albemarle Sound. The owners serve as the hosts and go out of their way to insure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day stay and have no negative comments. The inn is located just 10 minutes outside of historic...

Mulberry Hill is an extremely fine early house, with outstanding exterior and interiors. It is beautifully furnished - art and antiques lovers will be fascinated. The view to the water and the grounds is exceptional. My room was large, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfasts were large and excellent, including the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Nearby Edenton more than...
