If you value a non-smoking environment, this place is not for you. If you value face coverings during an epidemic, this place is not for you. If you value disability access and accessibility, this Howard Johnson should be avoided. The people across from us smoked all night long. Front desk did nothing other than say they were being fined. It was so bad, we had to stuff towels under the door- and I grew up in houses full of smoke! There was an overall lack of face coverings by employees at front desk- and for those wearing them they were hanging off one ear or tucked under their nose. The vehicle pictured belongs to the night manager. This was the last disabled space available. She parked in it at 1:13AM without a placard, or disabled plate. If someone had needed that space, they would have needed to crutch/hobble from the backside of the hotel. Additionally, I should add that this location used to be amazing and very family friendly. I have to admit that it is no longer that way and seems to have slipped really far downhill. My recommendation is to stay away from this location.…
While traveling back from PA and heading south, we decided to stop for the overnight since it was getting late. We pulled off for gas in Fayetteville and looked around for a nice place to stay. Very happy with our decision. Super clean, amazingly comfortable bed, free breakfast from 6 am to 9 am, 24 hour coffee, juice or tea. Friendly staff. Easy on/off access to I-95. Reasonably priced if you book online or have Wyndham Rewards. Definitely recommend.
I dont recommend anyone to book a stay at this hotel online, i did and then i ended up cancelling it because i found a hotel closer to where i needed to be. Then the day i was suppose to stay at the hotel they took $140 out of my account and when I brought it to their attention they told me to send a cancellation number? I sent them the only thing that was sent to me when I cancelled the reservations and the lady told me that isn't what they need after I constantly was telling her that's all I received. Then the assistant manager I guess is what you could call her messaged me and said they couldn't give me my money back and didn't give me a reason or nothing, so then I asked for the corporate number and still have not received a response. The service was sorry, so you all might want to save your money and not stay there or at least do not book the hotel online.…
We ended up here by chance and it was the best decision! Hotel was clean, staff very accommodating. Breakfast was back on and fresh coffee through out the day...also home baked cookies in the evening!! Best money spent in a long time...cleaning is still not daily due to covid but staff will do their best to accommodate any requests.
Hotel was clean enough, there were aspects that could have been better. Not much to complain about for the price of the stay, it was good enough for a stop-over on the ride down to FL so I booked my return trip for the ride back to NY.
