we stopped overnight due to the long drive we had and needed to rest. travelling with 2 young children. The rooms were not very clean. looked like they may have been having trouble with moisture as there were large fans on the main floor. needs updating. there was an unpleasant odor. also, the blow dryer was broken. I do not feel that we got our money's worth - and the breakfast provided was nothing more than packaged muffins and instant oatmeal. The only good thing about the stay was the front desk staff the night we checked in. the person who took our reservation and checked us in was very efficient and friendly.
The beds were comfortable and this is what we wanted as this was just a stop to sleep on our way to Florida. The bathroom definitely needs to be updated. Whoever painted the bathroom did a sloppy job. There was a hole in the drywall next to the sink and the bathtub/shower needs to be replaced. The bathtub looked like the coating was worn down to the underbase. At first, I thought it was dirty, but it was just worn. Masks: the women at the front desk, both at check in and check out, did not wear masks. I know there was a plastic shield at the desk, but that is not fully shieldind. They should have been wearing masks. Also, while checking in, another hotel guest, not wearing a mask, approached the desk for a question. Nothing was said to him. When we were bringing our luggage in, this same person, no mask, was standing at the front desk again, talking to the woman at the desk. There is a mask policy, but I guess they don't enforce it.…
We are out on way to Myrtle Beach and needed to stop and rest because we have a restless toddler so we stopped here. It’s a very clean hotel. The location is ideal - close to restaurants, gas stations and Dollar General. My only NEGATIVE is that the beds were so hard that my back is all jacked up now! I was tossing and turning all night and could not get comfortable. Going to need a full body massage after leaving here lol *Note - the hot buffet is closed due to COVID-19
This is the third time we've stayed in this particular Comfort Inn, and it seems to be getting better each time. Perhaps the most compelling reason to stay here is that it's right off the freeway; I mean, less than 100 yards away. There's a Cracker Barrel right next door, a couple of gas stations with convenience stores just up the block, and numerous restaurants within easy driving distance. The desk staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms clean, comfortable, and spacious. I pass this way every summer and doubtless will be back at this very hotel again next year.
From the check in at the front desk which made us feel good about the concern of the girl at the front with this virus that is spreading like wildfire. This morning we look in at the rooms being cleaned and was very impressed by the measures there taking for there guest. The person cleaning the room had a cart full of cleaning supplies and the way she was cleaning it you would have thought they were going to do surgery in there, at the same time it gave us peace of mind knowing there doing all they can do to stop the spread of this c-19 virus. I highly recommend this comfort inn.
