I stayed there over Christmas last year. Dec. 2021. Clean main room. Only one problem, I had a dog and had called and was given a price with dog. I even asked to have it emailed me. However when I arrived, the hotel added the dog charge on to the one I had previously paid. Plus there was a hole in the window and the hair dryer actually caused a fire. Management was so friendly and said they understood how I could be upset over the overcharge. Un fortunately no one did anything about it. we were so dog tired we could not go to another hotel. Followed up with manager who did nothing. even through i had a written bill with the lesser price. Be Ware
Though a bit rough around the edges due to heavy use, this hotel is a good value. Our King room with sitting area/sofa bed is the perfect size for small families. Mattress and pillows are comfortable and we slept well. Breakfasts are fulsome. The only thing troublesome was the WiFi, which dropped in/out on occasion, would not allow file attachments to email/TXT messages, and would not accept use of a VPN, which is essential for non-secure servers.
Hotel was in a great location and had a lot of restaurants near by. The room was a little dated and could have used some sprucing up but overall it was ok. The jacuzzi tub was a big hit and worked out as a good stress relief from all the driving.
The hotel was OK they were following covid rules pretty much. The girl at the desk sometimes had a mask on sometimes didn't most people that were staying there wore a mask. Decent breakfast however the girl behind the plexiglas who was very nice, was serving me eggs gravy and sausage links with no mask on and no gloves and when she asked me if I wanted gravy on my biscuit and I said yes she opened it with her thumb needless to say that meal went into the garbage can . She did a great job of straightening up the Room where people were eating but I think when you do that and you go back behind the plexiglas to serve people food you should have a mask on since the tray is upright by your face and you should have gloves on and you should never open someone biscuit with your thumb. Are carpet was very stained. Real strange oder when we came in really really sweet we were thinking they sprayed something because an animal peed on the floor Don't know. Let's smell lasted the entire time we were there which was 4 days. Could not figure out what the temperature was had to get up it up 3 times during the night to change it because it would get too cold or too hot. Other than that it was fine the staff was very friendly. Beds for comfortable seemed very clean bathroom was clean 2 light bulbs were out in my bathroom when I got there but I went to the desk and they gave me new ones. What I stay there again or would I recommend it to a friend probably not I don't like stained dirty carpet makes me feel like I have to wear my shoes the whole time in my Room.pool was nasty looking and closed.…
So traveling during the days of the covid virus is stressful enough. But staying in a hotel can ratchet up the nerves. After doing a bit of research into hotels in the Asheville area that accept dogs for a reasonable fee, I discovered This Comfort Inn. I could surmise from the reviews that they have been active in upgrading and updating the hotel. So I rolled the dice on a moderate priced place to stay for a day. Wow is what I need to stay. From a wonderful woman at the front desk who was amazing at check in, to an immaculate hotel lobby, I felt like I had chosen well. The elevator worked,,,, well, and the hallways had that WE CARE look and smell, carpets are clean, both to look and smell, The room was great with a nice view of the mountains and sunset. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and clean. Bathroom was clean and neat, no surprises there. I had work to do and the desk and office chair were very comfortable to work at. Did I mention a ton of outlets to plug all our electronics into? with room to spare. I took our small dog on a number of walks and found the grounds to be well maintained. this stay would have been great at even a greater cost. At the cost quoted, along with an extremely modest pet cleaning fee, it was great. easy to find, clean, comfortable with great staff. everything you can ask for. oh yes, I was very impressed to see the owner of the company working and vacuuming himself. As a business owner, that told me a lot..…
The hotel is in a great location. Lots of eateries nearby. We were in a suite that was very small. 2 TVs but only 1 worked. Room was very clean but starting to get run down. Someone painted over wallpaper and of course the paper started to bubble up through the paint. It is a pet friendly hotel with a limited grassy perimeter that has a lot of trash, bottles, cans on the grass. The staff was very nice and helpful. Great hot breakfast served by a nice lady behind a plastic shield. This hotel has great potential but needs a bit of sprucing up as it is starting to look worn. Lots of truckers stay there.
Nice hotel near the airport. Staff were all very friendly and helpful except one day clerk. She was helpful but not terribly friendly. Nice rooms and clean. Some things a little worn, e.g. sheer curtains in our room torn and needed to be replaced. But overall a very nice room. Good breakfast including warm food served by employee due to covid. A good value hotel for the price!
This is a nice hotel with a new renovation on the inside. Friendly staff and warm service. Rooms were clean and bed was nice. Breakfast was still served even though no cooked food because of Covid. Outdoor pool is closed even though it is listed on website as open.
I'd stay here again. Just realize that it's not going to be total quiet because of the road noise. The rooms are comfortable and limited bfkst due to the virus. We also had neighbors who wanted to slam doors but that's expected as well.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The room was good and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was the basic current hotel fare. It was a good quiet stay with restaurants within walking distance.
