Big surprise how lovely this hotel is. Very clean, wonderful comfortable beds and ALL of the staff cheerful and helpful. The pool area is quiet, shaded and immaculate. The shuttle driver picked us up in a prompt manner. Breakfast included was a full breakfast and delicious. Well done, Clarion.
Clean, quiet, comfortable. Check-in was fast and efficient. The room was very quiet, despite the hotel's proximity to I-26. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast in the morning included a fantastic selection of hot and cold items. Highly recommend this hotel property.
i gave them my visa for incidentals. i did not use any incindenals. they charged me $142.41. they said i didnot cancel a reservation. i was a walk in! Be very careful if you want to stay here. they lie!!!!
I will have to say, the staff was very nice but I definitely recommend staying elsewhere. The whole room smelt of cigarette smoke and had a strange musk to it. The bed had a huge hole in the comforter and the bed was just uncomfortable. The shower/ tub was dripping all night and I just felt so uncomfortable, I couldn't even take my shower. I didn't even want to touch the carpet with my covered feet. It also didn't help that the room kiddy corner to us was blasting music with their "Do Not Disturb" sign on their door. Even though it was a Non-smoking room, someone around us was heavily smoking. Also, why are the pillows so small? I would NOT recommend staying here, even for 1 night.
We stayed here for 3 nights. We overlooked the wrong bed type we were given when we checked in. They did give us a King as asked for after we complained. There was some disagreement on room price but we were given what was originally quoted. When we got our room it was very dated but seemed clean. The shower however made a loud sound off and on and I would be surprised if other guests were not awakened as we got up early. The breakfast was not bad, the second floor ice machine did not work. When doing laundry, the washing machine quit, leaving our clothes in a pool of water. Maintenance was called and he thought he got it working. When we went to get our clothes they were again in a pool of water. This is where things went down hill. The maintenance person just put an "out of order" sign on the machine and told my wife it wouldn't be fixed until tomorrow while our clothes were still in the machine. He without a doubt did not care about our situation. Long story short, David the manager did get involved. He did apologize and paid us $8 for the money we spent on laundry. I will admit I was not the easiest to deal with but that was because of my perception of how much they cared about our situation. The maintenance man was also not easy to deal with. We were leaving early the next morning and it seemed to me and my wife it was fine if they fixed the situation the next day. The front desk also told us they have had problems with that machine in the past so it doesn't seem the management really cares about fixing the issue.…
The room smelled bad. The bathroom was tiny i.e. the tub & toilet were behind a door separate from the vanity area. Not enough parking spaces. I came back one evening and discovered there were no parking spaces available. I went to the front desk and was told I had to park next door in the Texas Roadhouse parking lot. I was not happy. Had only one operating ice machine. Depending where the room is it was very inconvenient. Needless to say, I advice everyone to steer clear of this dump.
Prior to us traveling to this hotel, I needed to make a last minute request for a ground floor room due to an injury my traveling partner received. Fortunately, this request was granted upon check in. Even though this hotel does have an elevator, there’s only one elevator near the lobby that serves two floors. Each floor has 90 rooms. If you’re staying in rooms 200 - 230, you will have a 0.1 mile walk from the elevator to your room since you have to walk all the way around the property if you need the elevator. Fortunately, we stayed in room 173. Our room was very clean although some of the furnishings were old and falling apart. Notably, the blackout curtain was not attached by one of it’s hooks and one of the arm rests on the desk chair fell off with no effort when I used said desk chair. This hotel serves a free hot breakfast that was delicious. This hotel also has an on site Mexican restaurant. That restaurant had great service and great food. This hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool. Due to the cool weather, I didn’t use the outdoor pool but I did use the indoor pool. The indoor pool was very comfortable to use. The water temperature was perfect to swim in. Overall, the service at the Clarion in Fletcher was perfect. The amenities were top notch. The room while clean did show some signs of wear and tear. I would definitely return to this hotel the next time I’m in the Asheville area.…
Spent 1 night here after flying into Asheville Airport at 11:30 pm., grateful for shuttle. Close to Airport. Night person who checked me in wasn't friendly and not at desk when I checked in. Room was standard room: modern, clean, regular amenities. Hot breakfast was nice.
The staff at the desk were amazing. One helped us with our room and the other helped us with Smoky Mountain plans. Unfortunately, the first room had 2 queens instead of the reserved king. The second room reeked of cigarettes. The third room was better, but smelled like cheese. The pools were nice - one indoor (heated) and one outdoor. The hallways were dark and dreary. Good hot breakfast and convenient location.
This place was fantastic! We spent three nights here for mother's day weekend and it was perfect. The rooms were large and clean, but I will agree dated and showing wear. But it was minimal. There was plenty of parking and nice common areas. The hot has an on-site Mexican restaurant that we ate at twice and it was awesome too! The pool was open and they were also serving a full breakfast. We had an awesome time here!!!
