I am a firefighter - public information officer. I was deployed to work at the Franklin Incident Command Post on the Boteler and Nantahala Fires Branch from November into December. We worked very long hours in a stressful environment. Staying at the Oak Hill Country Inn made it feel like coming home each night. The proprientior, Ms. Grubermann could not...

Décor and home is beautiful and quiet. We were the only guest on a weekday. Ms. Grubermann was a wonderful host. We stayed in the Topaz room in the main house. She has a binder for local attractions including restaurants, tours, hiking, fishing, etc. Worth checking out if you are not in hurry. There is a cottage and I do...

We rented the cottage for an evening and had a wonderful stay. The two bedroom cottage is super clean and has an orderly and well equipped kitchen. The laundry room with washer/dryer are a great bonus. The cabin is light and bright, has comfortable bedding and color coordinated decor. The grounds are well maintained. The main house is also meticulously...

We were in Franklin for a concert at the Smoky Mountain Center and decided to look for a B&B so we could stay for a little overnight getaway. We fell in love with the look of this B&B and upon arrival were extremely pleased. The house is beautiful and extremely well maintained. It was the cleanest and most comfortable place...

This home is a charming, quiet, beautifully restored and lovingly maintained residence. The front wrap around porch is the perfect spot for your morning cup of coffee, or your evening night cap, if the porch is a little warm, the ceiling fans, will cool you right off! Connie is a wonderful hostess, who is quick with a smile and her...

This B&B maintains beautifully the feel of late 19th-century elegance. Perhaps the cleanest lodgings I've seen, with friendly service, roomy accommodations and southern biscuits that are (at least) tied for the best I've tasted.

We had a good stay in the cottage. Loved having a place to unwind. Nicely decorated in violets , green and yellow. Breakfast , served at 9am consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon , potatoes , biscuit and grapes served family style. Cottage includes full kitchen , laundry room , dining area and 2 bedrooms.

We stayed in the Sapphire room, as the other rooms were too dark for us. It is upstairs, very quiet, clean and afforded a small view of the back yard. The bathroom is small and there is a glass enclosed shower. The two downstairs rooms do have working fireplaces. Unfortunately, due to the recent death of the owners husband, she...

The cottage is a self contained unit in the grounds, but convenient to the main house. It is composed of 2 bedrooms, a living room, dining room, full kitchen and a laundry room. It has a wrap around verandah (porch) overlooking the lawns of the property. It is very cosy and would be warm in winter but very efficiently chilled...
