We visited Buttonwood Inn in July 2015. We found this inn very charming and the innkeeper most helpful. The property was very clean! We enjoyed the great breakfast each morning and getting to know the innkeeper Liz. She gave us recommendations for things to visit in this charming town. The room was very private and we had use of the... More

All places in Franklin were full, but its no wonder because I heard of buttonwood but never really thought about having someone stay there. Liz was a wonderful hostess. She made a marvelous breakfast like none I ever had before. This place is a pure treasure in the smoky mountains.

We stayed 4 nights at the Buttonwood and found the accommodations just lovely. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. There is a great back porch where you can spend hours in rocking chairs just relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and location perfect.

Liz was a gracious hostess! The inn was lovely, our room was comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. We stayed two nights, and the location was close and convenient to the Smokey Mountain Performing Arts Center, the venue which brought us to Franklin. Liz also gave us fantastic tips on places to see, events happening close by, and the best... More

Great little bed and breakfast. Comfortable rooms. But the hostess Liz is what helped make our stay so pleasant as she was very personable and accommodating. Her breakfast was outstanding and very filling. And the inn is just down the road from the Smoky Mountain Performing Arts Center so iit was a quick to and fro to the show for... More

We spent 4 days at the Buttonwood in October. If you like antiques and things you remember from the 50s and 60s, it will be a trip down memory lane! Our bedroom was spacious and the mattresses were very comfortable. IT's an old building but well kept. Liz, the owner, serves good breakfasts (we had soufflés and quiches, hot muffins,... More

The décor is true country. We had all three rooms between the 4 of us for three nights and the plentiful fresh home cooked breakfast started each day off just right. The golf course is maybe 30 yards off the back of the house. Very clean, convenient, WIFI, but no TV. The owner, Liz, was very pleasant. I'll stay there... More
