The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast offered eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, 3 kinds of cold cereal, yogurt, toast and jelly. Our bed was very comfortable. The downside was that the room total was $2 higher than on our reservation. The clerk said that the Choice hotels does not calculate the taxes correctly (which just happens to make their room more attractive.) The other problem was that the luggage cart had 2 flat tires making it very hard to use.

We were in town for our son's wedding and spent 4 nights here. Patrick and his staff were remarkably pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The staff always had a smile on their face and were happy to assist with all our questions/requests. Great experience overall for our large group who booked a block of rooms.

We were in town for travel baseball tournament. We drew an early game Sunday morning & the last game Sunday night. Being away from home with entire family and Yorkie I explained our predicament to Laurie and Manager Mr. Jolly. The temperature was in the mid 90's. Being three plus hours away from home, WE would have been toast. Mr. Jolly allowed my family to come back after early morning game and stay until 5:00 p.m. Without Mr Jolly's empathy my family would have suffered. Thanks for everything Laurie and Mr Jolly. We could never be able to repay your kindness, empathy and professionalism. If you need a place to stay you need to give Mr Jolly and staff a chance.

We stayed Tuesday night thru Saturday night and wouldn’t come back. The price we paid wasn’t bad but I’d rather pay more for a better hotel. You can tell the hotel is old and in need of repairs. We only got maid service 1 time the whole time and than on the last day they tell us we have to request it because they have too many check outs to clean our room if we stay for multiple nights. You would think since we paid to stay here for 5 nights that they would at least come give new towels and take out the trash because the only leave you with 2 tiny trash cans. Dogs barking throughout the night, rooms with a bunch of people in it that you can hear all the way down the hallway, and 1 elevator wasn’t working.

First night check in was easy and quick except if you park in the back, the back door is locked to get in the building .Second night after going out for the day we were unable to get back into our room and had to go down stairs to get our room unlocked. The woman at the desk made a rude remark - saying to the other man at the desk who was waiting - she just wants to get your room number ! I was humiliated and thought that was crude ! Then after back in our room we discovered our dirty linens were gone but only one bath towel and one hand towels were replaced. Another issue with the room is that the curtains do not close at all. They are only made to cover part of the window and a street light shines directly into your room all night . If you want bare minimum and no frills - this is it !

This is one of the worst Choice properties I've stayed at in the 14 years I have been staying with them. First, upon checking into the hotel, they inform me that they will be charging me a $30.00 fee in case I smoke in the room. Mind you I have never gotten a smoking room anywhere in my life, and if I was to smoke it would be outside. This by the way is not mentioned anywhere on the app or on my reservation. Also the desk clerk copped an attitude with me, and was not apologetic. Next there is no place to put your suitcase in the room. No bag stand or permanent place anywhere in the room. The hotel grounds were dirty, as well as the common areas inside the hotel. This place is disgusting.

Pro: (1) the hotel is located conveniently to the Charlotte airport; (2) the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Con: (1) the carpets throughout were worn and stained, obviously in need of replacement; (2) one of the three rooms we reserved had not had the sheets changed from the previous guests, and there were bugs in the bed.

I'm a Choice Privileges member, so I've stayed at a variety of Choice hotels all across the country. This one was probably in the saddest shape of any I've stayed in. There are 3-4 other hotels in this immediate area that might be better choices.

Positives first: all staff were attentive and friendly. But this hotel seriously shows its age: dirty fraying carpet in halls and elevator; room carpet so outworn and nasty that I wouldn’t walk in my barefeet; worn out furniture; cold shower water. When I complained about water, I was told to try again later. That yielded more water too cool to wash my hair. Then I was told, « Last night was cold. » Outdoor temp shouldn’t affect room water temperature. The price was reasonable, but I’d pay more for a hotel that doesn’t so obviously show its age.

No hot water, dated furniture, very uncomfortable bed. The room AC wasn’t working right due to a faulty thermostat. The pool was closed in mid-June. The price was low compared to other hotels in the immediate area (you get what you pay for I guess). But I’d rather pay a little more and not take cold showers. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Check in was good and easy check out. Breakfast was very good and great tasting coffee. Our room was nice and king bed was very comfortable. The carpets need to be replaced. They are very worn. Over all, our stay was nice.
