Badly out of date. TV was broken. AC had to be turned down to 60 to be comfortable. Only two worn out sockets at the night stand. Still has CFL bulbs! Worst Courtyard I've ever stayed at. Front desk staff was nice but only so much they can do with a worn out hotel.
This Courtyard is the worst Courtyard I have ever stayed at. This place is far below the Marriott Courtyard standard. We have two rooms and both rooms had this strange smell. The bathrooms also desperately need an upgrade. I have stayed at Fairfield Inns (a lower grade hotel than the Courtyard) that are in a more superior condition than this hotel. I usually read the bad reviews on TripAdvisor with a grain of salt, but with this one - believe the bad reviews.
Dirty rooms, bad heating/cooling units. Could smell cigarette smoke in the hallway. Front desk friendly, but not helpful. Do not count on using the business center. Bartenders were great, but the food not so much. Get delivery and hang out in the bar!
Everything was amazing even the staff and housekeepers I love staying there and I recommend it to everyone I'll always pick this hotel for me and my family and everything is so close to it and my kids love that they have a pool and a hot tub....
Suite was huge. 2 rooms with balcony. Balcony door was almost impossible to open. Very heavy and old. Wall plug was coming off wall. Needed updated. Furniture seemed dirty. Balcony needed power washed.
There were several problems with the room. Entering the room there was a smell of old cigarettes. Really was bad. The toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall. As my wife went to pull the toilet paper off the roll the entire holder came out. Water damage to the ceiling. Bed was fine. Became nose blind to the cigarette smell after a while.
The hotel lobby is nicely updated, but the rooms desperately need work. We had two rooms, and both smelled. The mattresses are old and uncomfortable, with springs that actually squeak when you sit down. The tub surround had mold around the edges, and there were hairs on the floor. Half of the outlets are loose. The mini-fridge was tiny with missing shelf parts.
I chose to stay at the courtyard Marriott specifically for the fact that they had a special rate going on through the Capital One travel portal. I read the reviews ahead of time and so I was already unsure what to expect. When I walked into the hotel, the lobby was very roomy and updated. The front check in staff was very polite and professional. However, that was about the extent of the niceties of the hotel. When I got up to my room, the room was out of date with several stains on the walls in both the bathroom and the main room. I pulled out my black light and noticed that there were also stains on the sheets. However, that was the only way to see the stains. So I decided to stay for the few nights. However, this morning I woke up to find a six-legged visitor on the wall in the bathroom. I immediately took a picture, killed the cockroach, put it in a tissue and delivered it to the front desk to check out. After reading the reviews and experiencing the hotel for myself, I am definitely in favor of this hotel losing its courtyard Marriott status. I have stayed at a few courtyards around this country and this is by far the worst experience I have had. In fact, when I rebooked at another hotel, the front desk agent indicated that he had actually previously worked at the courtyard and had quit because of these issues. As of writing this, I am still waiting to hear back from the assistant general manager at the courtyard. I will update this review when I hear from her to speak to the resolution of this issue. …
Hotel was clean and staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was fantastic. Arykah and Mrs. G are great employees. Good location, right next to the highway. Several restaurants within walking distance as well.
The location was convenient to our needs and the shower was incredible! However, I was disappointed that this hotel appeared to be in need of an upgrade. There were no USB plugs at all in the rooms and no microwave. The fridge was frozen over because it is in a totally enclosed wooden cabinet! Both of our rooms had a strong, unpleasant odor when we arrived. That seemed to fade after the HVAC had been on for a while, but noticeably irritating at first. Bathroom was clean. Couch had scary-looking stains. The shower curtain was about 8 inches too long spread all over the inside of the tub. I had requested to use my expiring Suite Night awards for room upgrades, but was told that upgrade was not eligible for this location. Overall, not my best experience at a Marriott property.…
