Didn't know this place even existed in Hendersonville stay there last night which was Sunday checked out this morning. we were looking for a mini getaway overnight to the mountains somewhere within a 60 mile radius of where we live. Went on the choice privilege app seen it and booked it thought we gave it a try. Absolutely enjoyed here! We had a king suite the ring was very cozy and clean. we literally had the swimming pool and hot tub all to ourself. The cost of the room was very reasonable and honestly I paid more for a two-star hotel like red roof, days inn Best Western and didn't even have an indoor pool with these places or huge hot. Great thing is if you're a couple or family it's affordable and it gives the kids something to do literally all day. To me the water slide was the best part of the indoor pool area. the owner minor issue was our heater and air conditioner in the room you turn the heat on he made a horrible noise that would start getting louder and louder. But we didn't really use it that much because didn't really need it very hot nature people.
We will definitely be back and room tip ask for something closer to the pool that's what I will do next time.
and it's walking distance to The waffle House or driving distance to a few good restaurants and the Walmart.

I was well pleased at how clean our 2 queen room was upon arrival after reading some disappointing reviews. The indoor pool, slide and hot tubs were perfect for the kids and adults. The multiple sitting areas were a plus too in the lobby, poolside and patio.
Please note our stay during the Covid-19 pandemic, there was no daily room freshening and the continental breakfast was reduced to a yogurt cup, coffee, apple, orange and maybe a prepackaged danish or honey bun.
With no daily room cleaning, you had to ask for an exchange of clean towels.
The breakfast cafe was closed, however the Old Orchard Tavern restaurant was open in the evening.
I will stay here again when we want an indoor pool and hopefully, the continental breakfast will resume normal operations along with the Cafe.
Also the morning and late evening front desk folks were awesome! I wish we had gotten their names.
Other last minute notes: the mattresses are firm, we checked in just after 4pm but it does seem that the hotel was short on cleaning staff so some rooms weren't ready at 4pm.

This venue is beyond its' working life. In its' era it was great. The good. The check in was easy. The room was clean. The pool was nice. The bad. The sheets, pillow cases and bath towels were worn out a long time ago. There are worn out pool gates, the jets on the hot tub were not working. The outside of the building need a rebuilt. The carpets are shot. They are using the place as a local swim spot. Breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee, a piece of fruit or a cheap danish. Choice should refund my money. The restaurant did serve good food although they had a limited menu. Retire this one please.

A very high value for the price. The rooms were decent, and the overall facilities were a little on the worn side; however, the quality of the pool, hot tub, water slide, and lobby made it a great experience.

Check in time is 4pm. When we arrived shortly after 4pm, we were told our room wasn’t ready because they had been fully booked the night before...checkout time is 12 noon. We sat in the lobby until sometime after 5pm when the desk clerk realized we were still sitting there watching him and he gave us our room key. The lobby should have been a warning with its dead or dying plants and the worn carpeting and furniture. The hallway to our room was very dimly lit, but a large stain running down the middle of the carpet was still quite visible. Our room appeared to be clean, but on further inspection there was trash on the floor, the bathroom floor had obvious “drips” in front of the toilet, the floor in front of the vanity was sticky, and there were no hand towels. The shower head is another story. We asked for housekeeping to return and mop the floors and vacuum. We left to meet friends, hoping the room would be in better shape when we got back. It was “better”, but still no hand towels. The beds can’t possibly be anything other than box springs. Last night, on our way back to our room from the jacuzzi, we stopped and asked for some fresh towels. The evening clerk was eating and never acknowledged our presence, never made eye contact, and gave the impression that we were bothering him. He said someone would bring us towels. About 45 minutes later, a very nice and pleasant young lady came to the door asking how many towels did we need. I had to give her the one towel that was not in the bathroom as my friend was taking a shower at that time. She promptly brought 2 towels back of which I am very thankful. The only excuse I can think of for how poor the customer service was is they must be severely understaffed, especially to keep such an unpleasant employee as the very first impression one gets of the establishment. They had one heckuva good photographer when they made their website.

First impression on entering the lobby is “hot”. The lobby was hot and humid which I thought was from the pool. But no. The whole hotel is unbearably hot. The rooms have inside doors but also have windows facing the hallway kinda like a motel would have. The hallways is like a blast furnace. Had to be 90-100 degrees with heat blowing from somewhere. When we went into our room which was in the hottest part of the hallway, the air conditioner unit, which is the old motel type under the window, had not been turned prior to our arrival so the room was stifling. We turned it on and set it at 65 then left for a while. When we returned it was somewhat cooler but because of the heat in the hall, it ran constantly all night to try to maintain some cool air. To top it off, the bed was like a brick. At one point, I laid 4 pillows down my side to try to sleep on top of for some comfort but that only made it hot. I moved to the couch which had softer cushions but there was no extra sheet or blanket so back to the brick bed I went. Got maybe an hour of fitful sleep. There was supposed to be breakfast included but all they had was prepackaged muffins and coffee so we skipped that and went to the diner next door. I would never recommend this hotel. There was a Hampton Inn next door. I wish I had known. I only booked here because of a kids birthday being held here and thought “mountain resort”, must be nice. Oh silly me!

Do Not Stay Here!!! For a few dollars more stay next door at the Hampton Inn. This place is run down and has bugs crawling inside the rooms. We booked 2 nights and after the first night left and checked in next door at the Hampton Inn.
The beds were uncomfortable to the point after the first night stay my wife and I were sore after we woke up.
The pictures are deceiving, walls are paper thin and this place is in dire need of a make over.
The continental breakfast consisted of a honey bun and an apple sauce.
We paid roughly 154 a night where as if we paid 162 at the Hampton could have had a better night sleep and an actual hot breakfast in the morning.
I will be contacting Expedia for a full refund for the 2nd night we did not stay.

This hotel is disgusting. Our comforter was dirty, moldy shower curtain. Dirty sheets stuffed in drawers from a previous guest. Staff is rude and beyond slow to help with any needs you have.I begged for towels so my family and I could shower and they simply didn’t care until I said I would come around the counter and get them myself. We will never come back. And we will advise everyone not to as well.

There was no a/c & staff offered no explanation or apology. No attempts to fix it were observed & employees said it never works. They did not have any fans to lend so we went to Walmart and bought one that cost $60 (selection limited from hotel guests?) When we booked, it said breakfast included. However, their cafe is closed permanently & no discount offered. No elevator so difficult to get up luggage especially with sauna like atmosphere. Quite a shame because hotel could be charming & fun if a/c was working. Bed & linens comfortable & tavern at night very nice with great food.

Kathy Knight helped me through the whole process and the result was phenomenal. We had started with a plated lunch with entree choices for 30 - 40 people. I was at 50 people and Kathy & I had to regroup and go with a buffet. We remained with our three entrees and everything went beautifully. I had nothing but raves about the food. The location has plenty of parking and easy access - no stairs. We even had out of town guests who stayed at the resort at a reduced rate.
I would strongly recommend the Cascades.
