I like to get a feel for what’s ‘real’ about a place and the Cedarwood Inn was a wonderful way to do just that in Hendersonville. The motel was super clean, the owners were friendly, the bed was AMAZING and the property was in walking distance to a good restaurant. SO much more fun than a chain motel on a highway exit. I’d love to come back in the summer and enjoy the shuffle board court, grills, and porch attached to our cabin. Highly recommend!
Had good reviews, booked a Saturday night getaway. Left at 11pm to go stay elsewhere. There was a family living in the room next door, could hear every cough, giggle, and voice through the wall. When we went to leave there were two guys wandering the lot near our car. Just weird, not a good vibe at all. I’m not a fan of leaving bad reviews but don’t want anyone else to have our experience.
I decided to get away for some R&R in Hendersonville/Flat Rock, NC. I chose Cedar Woods Inn because it wasn't the standard motel/hotel. It is not fancy. No free breakfast. But good WiFi, clean property. Quiet. Comfortable bed, soft sheets. Friendly staff. Close to downtown Hendersonville, and Flat Rock. I stayed in room #18...pics attached. I would recommend this place for the traveler who is just looking for a clean, quiet, affordable inn. (Dec 30, 2019 to Jan 3, 2020)
My wife & I were looking for an affordable room for one night. The Cedarwood Inn was available at a reasonable rate & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner, Danny was polite and helpful. Our room was very clean & neat. We really like the older feel this motel has. The location is very convenient to downtown.
We stayed at the CedarWood Inn for our anniversary, and it was wonderful. The room was clean, and perfectly retro! The whole property was a beautifully done, and close to Hendersonville for shopping and dining. Better yet a short walk from the property was a wonderful BBQ restaurant. The owner was a delight to work with, and they were so kind to arrange for champagne and roses for me for our anniversary, so we came back from a day in downtown He Hendersonville to the scent of roses and chilled champagne. I would recommend to anyone! Our unit included a perfectly adorable kitchen and relaxing living area as well.
I found this spot on TripAdvisor and we were pleasantly surprised!! The owner, Danny, was a pleasure to work with! The rooms were rustic with cedar walls and comfortable bedding and bed. We slept great!! Kuerig coffee maker with complimentary coffee. A small seating area outside on a covered porch. The best part, we were only one mile from historic Downtown Hendersonville and a 30 minute drive to Asheville. Friday night was the best night to venture out in Downtown Hendersonville. Shops close earlier on Saturday. We also enjoyed shopping at Steinmart and there was also a Fresh Market. Wonderful trip and accommodations! Will definitely be back!!
What a wonderful property: 1950's style cabins on a wooded lot but as modern on the inside as they are bucolic on the outside... flat-screen TV's, AC, coffee makers, etc. The rooms are large and very quiet. This family run business is headed by Danny Patel who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. When we had a small problem he showed up in five minutes to repair what was wrong. His family keeps the place spotless. There are porches and outdoor seating on most cabins as well as a big gazebo, mid-site. We would return here without hesitation!
Arrived to find a neat circle of duplex style cabins with rustic pine paneling giving the feeling of staying in a lakeside summer camp in the 1950s. Property is extremely clean, very quiet and the staff is very friendly.
My wife and I recently stayed at the CedarWood Inn. We were very pleased with our stay. The owner and his family were great. The room was as advertised and reminded me of some old hunting cabins from the 40's and 50's. Our room had solid wood paneling and the unique smell that comes with it. If you want everything modern and sterile this is not for you. The owner recommended two nearby restaurants that we enjoyed. If you go to Honey and Salt for breakfast get there early or you will wait. We went on Sunday morning around 7:30 and got a seat right away. 20 minutes later there was a significant line. I gave the CedarWood Inn a five star rating because it is as advertised and we had a very enjoyable stay.
This was a special trip for my daughter and I. The room wasn’t to my standard of clean. Floor was not clean. Sheets had stains. Dust was in corners. On the outside it said just opened. Yet things were already falling apart. I would hate to see this place in a year. Just wasn’t an inviting atomosphere for the price, I was NOT impressed at all.
