We stayed two nights at the Econo Lodge in Hendersonville over Memorial Day Weekend. Front desk staff was friendly at check in but couldn't find anyone at check out. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and a good size, though the shower was very small. The pool and breakfast were closed due to the pandemic. Location is convenient, right at US-64 and I-25 and very reasonable price. I might stay here again if visiting the area.

Stayed he in May 2021 for 1 night. Worst hotel I've stayed at in many years. The bed frame squaeked all night, and I had to listen to my nieghbors getting it on all night. I would have gotten more sleep if I had slept in my car in the parking lot. I'll never stay here again, and I suggest you don't, either. If you are in this area, try the Quality Inn at Flat Rock instead. It's ony a few mile away and is MUCH MUCH better.

We booked this hotel online because it was a pet friendly hotel and bragged about its sanitary cleaning they even went so far to show pictures of people in masks wiping down surfaces in a room.
The first room we were given my wife refused to stay in and I quickly agreed with her!
There was a moldy substance in and around the bathtub the drain was pulled out and lying in the tub
We were given another room.
Then I was told by the front desk clerk that despite paying over 160 for the room we still owed 10 dollars for our pet fee!
The "new room" was slightly better, until we turned on the air conditioner and it let out a puff of mold smell that permeated the room for the rest of our stay not to mention it sounded like a train passing by whenever it turned on.
The room was NOT clean nor sanitized there was sticky substance on the floor by the bed, and I was not even going to take a shower in the outdated cave looking bathroom with no fan.
the toilet was not fastened to the floor and moved around if you looked at it wrong.
We pulled the filters from the air unit and found them clogged with dirt and dust.
I could go on but wont I contacted the manager who never returned my email or calls Hendersonville has many pet friendly hotels this one is not cheap nor clean.
Choose to pay less and be treated better.

Lets see where do I start. Very worn out hotel. Interior rough, the door look like it had been beat to death, chair to desk had large rip in seat, pool is closed and breakfast bar due to virus but you re not informed of this on the website. But this is minor compared to rest of story. Due to virus we bring clorox wipes with to be prepared. Well there was dried particles on the chair and of course it is open under desk and you could see dried splatter on base board and wall. Well we took wipes to chair and immediately knew this was throw up as well as on wall. This awaken smell. My husband went to front desk where he was accused of doing this and was wanting another room! The person did come to the room and said my husband did a good job cleaning this up! Really! We were given another room after this. All the emails from Choice hotels about the extra steps for cleanliness means nothing. The beds are terrible. I would contact Choice hotels but they give you no option for that. The only option is to call their 800# and stay on phone forever but I have better things to do to go to the trouble and then be ignored. Rest was uneventful thank goodness. Hope they can meet with their cleaning crew.

I get that Econo brands itself on being budget-friendly (however, worth noting, in this case it actually was NOT), but there still should be a standard of integrity in place. This motel is in bad need of updating, it needs repairs, needs a good deep clean, and just overall needs help. Needs staff that are people-friendly (seeing as how this is, afterall, a place where staff will inevitably have to work with customers: i.e. people). This Econo Lodge can be described at best as "an okay place to lay my head" It was by no means a great experience at all, and the prices are way, way, way too high for how the rooms look and the service received; plus the room had an unpleasant & stale odor (and some kind of narrow but large bug was on our wall). The front desk clerk was appalled & for some reason highly irritated that we needed more towels. I could add more to this review, but I think by now you get the point, so for now: that is all. 👎

Sheets stained bugs in the room looks like a crack den. I wouldn’t stay here if I was paid. The heat/ ac doesn’t work right. No elevator makes it nice to haul your bags upstairs. Fridge was broke. Overall if you want a getto crack house experience stay here

We booked a room at the Comfort Inn (king bed with whirlpool tub) for Labor Day weekend. Our room was in the very back of the hotel and smelled of mildew or had water damage at one time. The tiles in the bathroom tub were coming loose and many were missing. When we pulled the sheets back there was a hole in the blanket the size of the palm of your hand. We asked for another room and the next room actually looked cleaner than the one we had and was also non-smoking like we asked for to begin with. The tub looked clean and the tiles were intact. While my husband went up to the front desk to tell them we would take that room, I pulled back the bed sheets to see if there were any holes. I only saw about 20 small spiders scattering about and immediately left the room. There were spider webs (noticeable) all around the lights beside the bed. As we were leaving the hotel we noticed a lady going in that room to make up the bed. My husband asked her if she saw the spiders and she said, "What spiders?" He showed her but she did nothing but make up the bed. We stayed at the Hampton Inn, which was wonderful! Save your hard earned money and stay in a decent hotel.

the room was less than clean, hot tub definitely not clean. when we were awakened twice in one night by other loud guests, the front desk told us that "apparently someone was here with another woman". they evicted the problem occupants but made no apologies. when we had additional complaints and the manager on duty was unhelpful, we asked when the owner would be in, and were told "he's in India. he'll be back in 3 months." customer service was repeatedly polite but absolutely unhelpful. avoid this place and stay at the Comfort Inn in Mars Hill.

Stayed Friday Feb 6, 2015. Room 215. The room was dirty. The blanket has a big cigarette hole in it. The light in the bathroom didn't work. The sink took an hour to drain, while other people's dirt floated up out of the drain. The hair dryer wall bracket came off causing me to almost drop the running hair dryer into the sink of undrained water. I went to the front desk in the morning and the desk clerk was asleep behind the counter and seemed unconcerned. If I hadn't been exhausted from driving I would have left. The room cost around $72 including tax. Over priced for a complete dive. I would have gotten as much rest by sleeping in my van at a rest stop. Horrible room and the worst customer relations ever. Also the free wifi did not work, and the breakfast looked subpar. They had no creamer for the coffee so I didn't bother.

Skip breakfast any where is better than here, after seeing how nasty this place is I wouldn’t dare eat there. There’s McDonald’s and Burger King, Arbys, all kinds of places at this exit for breakfast, and would choose another place to eat unless you want sick ball players!
