I get that Econo brands itself on being budget-friendly (however, worth noting, in this case it actually was NOT), but there still should be a standard of integrity in place. This motel is in bad need of updating, it needs repairs, needs a good deep clean, and just overall needs help. Needs staff that are people-friendly (seeing as how this is, afterall, a place where staff will inevitably have to work with customers: i.e. people). This Econo Lodge can be described at best as "an okay place to lay my head" It was by no means a great experience at all, and the prices are way, way, way too high for how the rooms look and the service received; plus the room had an unpleasant & stale odor (and some kind of narrow but large bug was on our wall). The front desk clerk was appalled & for some reason highly irritated that we needed more towels. I could add more to this review, but I think by now you get the point, so for now: that is all. 👎…
Sheets stained bugs in the room looks like a crack den. I wouldn’t stay here if I was paid. The heat/ ac doesn’t work right. No elevator makes it nice to haul your bags upstairs. Fridge was broke. Overall if you want a getto crack house experience stay here
The people were very friendly. Location was really good for us to go north or south. Breakfast was nothing exciting but you could have something. Room wasn’t the cleanest. Floors had nuts on them and no cleaning where you “couldn’t see”.
We booked this hotel online because it was a pet friendly hotel and bragged about its sanitary cleaning they even went so far to show pictures of people in masks wiping down surfaces in a room. The first room we were given my wife refused to stay in and I quickly agreed with her! There was a moldy substance in and around the bathtub the drain was pulled out and lying in the tub We were given another room. Then I was told by the front desk clerk that despite paying over 160 for the room we still owed 10 dollars for our pet fee! The "new room" was slightly better, until we turned on the air conditioner and it let out a puff of mold smell that permeated the room for the rest of our stay not to mention it sounded like a train passing by whenever it turned on. The room was NOT clean nor sanitized there was sticky substance on the floor by the bed, and I was not even going to take a shower in the outdated cave looking bathroom with no fan. the toilet was not fastened to the floor and moved around if you looked at it wrong. We pulled the filters from the air unit and found them clogged with dirt and dust. I could go on but wont I contacted the manager who never returned my email or calls Hendersonville has many pet friendly hotels this one is not cheap nor clean. Choose to pay less and be treated better.…
Stayed he in May 2021 for 1 night. Worst hotel I've stayed at in many years. The bed frame squaeked all night, and I had to listen to my nieghbors getting it on all night. I would have gotten more sleep if I had slept in my car in the parking lot. I'll never stay here again, and I suggest you don't, either. If you are in this area, try the Quality Inn at Flat Rock instead. It's ony a few mile away and is MUCH MUCH better.
We stayed two nights at the Econo Lodge in Hendersonville over Memorial Day Weekend. Front desk staff was friendly at check in but couldn't find anyone at check out. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and a good size, though the shower was very small. The pool and breakfast were closed due to the pandemic. Location is convenient, right at US-64 and I-25 and very reasonable price. I might stay here again if visiting the area.
Lets see where do I start. Very worn out hotel. Interior rough, the door look like it had been beat to death, chair to desk had large rip in seat, pool is closed and breakfast bar due to virus but you re not informed of this on the website. But this is minor compared to rest of story. Due to virus we bring clorox wipes with to be prepared. Well there was dried particles on the chair and of course it is open under desk and you could see dried splatter on base board and wall. Well we took wipes to chair and immediately knew this was throw up as well as on wall. This awaken smell. My husband went to front desk where he was accused of doing this and was wanting another room! The person did come to the room and said my husband did a good job cleaning this up! Really! We were given another room after this. All the emails from Choice hotels about the extra steps for cleanliness means nothing. The beds are terrible. I would contact Choice hotels but they give you no option for that. The only option is to call their 800# and stay on phone forever but I have better things to do to go to the trouble and then be ignored. Rest was uneventful thank goodness. Hope they can meet with their cleaning crew.…
The hotel is in a great location. The beds are comfortable but, the bathtub needs to be updated, the door stopper behind the bathroom door needs to be fixed. And the ceiling above the drapes needs to be fixed. I will recommend it to my friends. It's in a great location to get to where you need to go.
I wish I could give zero stars. Had a nice day in the mountains and was looking foward to relaxing in our room. As soon as I opened the door all I could smell was cigarette smoke! I turned around and walked right back out. We asked to switch to a room that didn't smell like smoke as we paid for a non smoking room. Plus we have a 3 year old I don't want breathing that in all night! He said there were no other rooms available. Then had the audacity to say the room was free anyway because we used points. We used some points and paid the rest cash. But that doesn't matter anyway, we reserved a non smoking room so that's what we should get. We threw the room keys back at the guy and told him we would find somewhere else to stay, somewhere that appreciates their customers! DO NOT say at this place...EVER!…
This hotel is nothing that I expected. Queens beds are not queens and the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in, worst night of sleep in a very long time, they are doubles. A/C smelled moldy. I got charged 15.00a night for my 3 lb dog and was not told that would occur prior.to when I checked in. If I did not need to be here tonight I would leave.
