The Charleston Inn is a charming bed and breakfast. It exceeded our expectations in the areas of accommodation, hospitality, and food. Tom is a fabulous host, and is very knowledgeable about all of the areas where f interests in Hendersonville. We look forward to staying with them again. We highly recommend the Inn.

Beautiful downtown B&B run by friendly locals. This is truly a family business & the small touches and quality show through. I had room 208, a double bed room overlooking the beautiful stone church across the street. There is some road noise, which is easily overcome by the TV or the fan on the ac. This is the price for the convenience of being able to easily walk to the downtown Hendersonville shopping and dining district. There is radiator heat & a quiet electric heater in addition to a gas log fireplace. The bathroom is tight, but otherwise the room is very comfortable. The bed was especially cozy. The furnishings & seasonal decorations throughout the B&B were extra special-authentic antiques & very tasteful decorations. The breakfast was buffet style & many things were individually wrapped, presumably in an effort to minimize germ spread. I enjoyed the “social hour” very much, which includes up to two adult beverages & light snacks. The house sangria was very refreshing. Free off street parking. I highly recommend this B&B.

When I found this Inn by a search on the web it showed as a 2 star rating. After our two nights there it is truly underrated. The room was comfortable, the afternoon complimentary wine and snacks and breakfast was very enjoyable and the staff was extremely accommodating. The porches and outdoor seating couldn’t be better. It’s a convenient walk to the historic district with many restaurants and shopping.

BnB's we want a nice atmosphere, clean and comfortable, affable hosts. Good breakfast is nice. This hit most well - 3.5 would be a good assessment, or better.Maybe 4 or a 5 as I think many reviewers see things. Location great, within easy walking distance of downtown. But inevitable urban noise. Our room was ground level, so noise of upper levels and stairs present. Overall, a plus for location. Great bed! Rest of room and bath only middling. But very clean. Overall - middling. Hosts - Cathy and Tommy are the people that make you want to stay at BnB's. Five star here. Breakfast - a nice surprise. Very simple, but excellent. Fresh bacon immediately available. Stone ground grits perfect out of the pot - no seasoning needed. Homemade yogurt likewise perfect as served, no need to add anything beyond that the hosts provided. And lots of other stuff (bagels, waffles, hard boiled eggs etc) to select from. Coffee and juices. The breakfast was excellent! If we had not experienced a truly five star gourmet BnB breakfast (once. In Quebec.), the breakfast rating would be 5*. Trust me, it will satisfy you. If breakfast tomorrow here in Waynesville at Grandview Lodge is nearly as good, I will be thunderstruck! (I do my best to review consistently, so we'll see. Unless I get distracted.) Overall - I will not hesitate to stay again at The Charleston. It is not so compelling I will not try another, if a BnB looks appealing. But I will be perfectly satisfied at The Charleston.

This was our first stay at a B&B. The Charleston Inn was a lovely place. The people were so friendly. The accommodations were clean & comfortable. The owners, Tom & Kathy, were very helpful with helping us decide where to eat dinner, what sites to visit, and which apple orchard to go to. We’ll definitely return for another visit!!
