I rarely give 1 star, I can ordinarily find enough to give a place an average rating (3*). So this joint is unique. Good heavens, what a horror show this joint was.!!! We were in Hickory to buy a car. There were 2 Wyndham properties available, and this was the best rated ... which should tell you something. So we arrive to find a fire truck in the place ... there was apparently a gas. leak Now the lady who checked us in was very pleasant however, she advised us, "Don't worry we have smoke and carbon dioxide detecters in the room". Not sure how that helps with a natural gas leak, so it started badly Then we got in the room, the lamps have plugs and USB in them, did they work? Of course not !! The beds were a new adventure in pain, they must have been made by the Marquis de Sade. At that point, I would have given it 3*, and then I ran into the manager. The next day we got called back home early so I asked at noon hey if we go now can we call it late check out at this point it got nasty to the point the guy actually confronted me in the parking lot. Needless to say, he refused to refund the second night point blank. Many have said the manager ain't great, I would agree - extremely rude and arrogant . Avoid him and this property like the plague. It just ain't worth your money, time, or hassle.…

I sleep during the day and the staff opened my door while I was sleeping twice, I had the do not disturb sign on the outside of the door and I also request at check in that my room be serviced only upon request. It was also dirty, and extremely loud.

I was leary at first because of the slow service upon arrival but the girl at the desk turned out to be pleasant enough. We asked for a 2 bed room and got 1 bed. We were able to make it work so stayed in the room. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable but the pillows were awful. The price (with a senior discount) was excellent. Not sure if I would stay again as the necessity of a deposit seemed somewhat sketchy to me.

I always hate the hotels that post no smoking signs when the room smells like an ashtray. The website photos show a great selection for breakfast but the breakfast was the worst. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

First off they made up reasons to keep our deposit. They said the room smelled like smoke and we don't even smoke. Second, the room wasn't clean when we arrived. The front desk staff had to come up and mop our floor . This was not the only cleanliness issue. There were cheese balls in the floor and wrappers. Unacceptable overall.

I will say - I HIGHLY enjoyed the rooms and room layout at this property. However, no amount positive aspects can even begin to make up for how out right rude and disrespectful this owner of this hotel is!! Ended up keeping deposit for allegedly having "dirty towels" and a small smudge on bedding blanket even though my stay lasted for over 2 months!

Mold in the bathroom, wrinkly bed sheets, smelly room, dirty property. Run!!! The room was cleaned but had sticky floors. The hvac unit didn’t work. The bathroom ceiling had mold all over the ceiling. The room stunk in general. Tv remote didn’t work.

The staff was unfriendly and manager was down right rude when I asked for a receipt. There was only 1 towel and 1 wash cloth per guest. 1 hand towel and no bath mat. The breakfast bar was almost none existent and I would say a down right insult to even call it a breakfast bar. The bed was very uncomfortable.

I selected the Baymont Hickory, due to the excellent service I had received from Baymont in Hocking Hills. I was not disappointed. It was easy to find. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and they were very accommodating when we realized we had left a cell phone in the room after we checked out.

My stay here is always nice and quiet I come to hickory to visit family and stay here often. It is very close to restaurants and shopping. Easy to locate and the staff is always very nice, and the rooms are clean and welcoming.
