This is my new favorite Inn. The rooms are beautifully furnitured with antiques and white linens. There is hand milled soap in each of the claw foot bathtubs that carries you away to simpler times. The food at the Bistro is a local favorite and I can understand why... Everything my husband & I ate was delicious.

The Man Street Inn has a history of length in Highlands. We ate our meal inside although there is ample outside tables on a lovely patio surrounded by trees and all is beautifully landscaped. The trout on our salads was fresh (raised in Waynesville, NC), well grilled and the greens were fresh, cold and crisp.

We love, love, love this place. We have stayed in the guest house and the main house, both are great!! The hotel is so clean. They have coffee and breakfast breads out every morning. There is a great bar and restaurant in the hotel. They had a lady playing music outside during lunchtime. You can dine outside if you like....

Main Street Inn is a very average place. While the rooms are accommodating and quaint, we were disappointed, only a little, in the morning coffee where replenishment was absent for a while. Its not a true Innkeeper experience. When you pull up to it, there is a great deal of ambiguity with regard to the road appearance and it took...

Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We appreciate all comments and will do our best to improve coffee and breakfast bread replenishment, and to be on the look out for dancing bears! Most warmly, Claire Cameron, Manager

OK. It is not quite the season yet and Highlands is still hibernating! There was nobody at reception but I spoke with Claire by phone, and got keys for several rooms to review. Rooms are cozy and pleasant other than a rattling window (Room 8) Coffee was available (not until after 8am) in the lobby along with some muffins donuts...

DISCLAIMER: My sister-in-law is the manager of this property. We didn't really know if we were going to stay here or at my SILs home when we arrived mid afternoon. Decided to stay and are so glad we did. Because the "season" is not really "on" yet, we were the only guests and that was quite nice. We stayed in...

We had a great time here. The rooms were super clean, comfortable and adorable. The claw-foot tub was amazing. You couldn't ask for a more convenient location and the innskeeper was very pleasant and welcoming. There were complimentary beverages and snacks, and coffee/breakfast was served each morning. We will definitely be returning to the Main Street Inn next time we...

Main Street Inn is cozy and quaint. We love to wake up in the morning and end the evenings by the fire in the lobby. Often we connect with another couple or two there and enjoy the fellowship. Conveniently located at the end of the main drag, all the shopping begins right outside our door. Claire and the staff make...

We initially planned on a family/pet weekend at a VRBO, but when that fell through at the last second, we asked around for recommendations for just my wife and me, and we managed to snag the last available room at the Main Street Inn. It's a very cute, historic home with a wide variety of rooms, a gas fireplace surrounded...

Love the bistro outside on a pretty day. Inside, old highlands charm atmosphere. My favorite is the Main Street Inn's Sunday Brunch. Service for us has always been fast and friendly. Family friendly as well.
