Out of the 50+ B&B's we've had the pleasure of visiting, this is by far the most wonderful one ever! There are so many phenomenal attributes, it is difficult to know where to begin. The rooms are adorable, impeccably clean and the beds very comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous and the hosts couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. There are... More

This 100+ year old property is a gem, and its location is great, right next to town. There are three floors with guest rooms and wonderful creaky-wood floors! Our king bed was very comfortable with a nice heavy comforter. The owners, Rick and Helene, are lovely, welcoming people, who can be as involved or as unobtrusive as you'd like. Helene's... More

Took a quiet trip to Highlands last weekend and booked the 41/2 Street Inn B&B for the first time. We were greeted with warm cookies at the door!! Rooms were very quaint; very clean and the bed was great. Happy Hour from 5-7 was really fun interfacing with the others guests and enjoying the wine and chutney. Next day it... More

Wonderful hosts, great breakfast, walk into a town with great pub and restaurants, many waterfalls and hiking trails within a short drive, watching magnificent sunset from "sunset rocks".....It doesn't get any better than this. Bed was so comfy and room was cozy. And the people we met there while we drank a glass of wine in the "living room" were... More

I was surprised to learn that it had been six years since my last visit, but my memory served me well. This is the gold standard for B&Bs. Rick and Helene's enthusiasm and love for this place never wanes. Consistency never disappoints. From the warm cookies in the basket upon arrival, to the wine and delicious appetizers in the late... the hosts make this an experience...Fresh baked cookies in the afternoon and wine party every night is a wonderful added touch. We enjoyed this bed and breakfast. It was cozy and inviting....the breakfasts were special recipes...but you could have scrambled eggs if you wanted...the hosts were friendly, engaging and sincere. We had limited time to fit in a special destination to celebrate my wife's 80th birthday. We couldn't have picked a better place. From the moment of our arrival we knew we were being cared for by owners who knew how to assimilate new guests, After striking up new friendships at the late afternoon wine and cheese gathering, we were... Warm, friendly, inviting. You felt as if you were in a friend's home. The gourmet breakfasts were to die for. Hellene and Rick are hands on hosts.
