The beds at least were clean and comfortable and we were too tired to make changes. When I asked the front desk attendant what the room charge was, she asked if I wanted the rate for a room, or our room specifically. Does an accessible room get charged more?
Expectations were higher as this was almost twice what we had paid for other hotels which were much nicer and with a better breakfast as well.
Also, if a disabled person in a wheelchair/walker/crutches came to the front door, it is impossible to get in as there is no automatic door. Maybe there is another entrance that is accessible. Sorry to say, this needs some upgrading and attention to detail.

Now about the room.
Inside the room, I found an unopened condom under the pillow in the window reading seat. I took that in stride and laughed it off. Then when I laid down to go to sleep, I noticed the smoke detector on the ceiling was covered with plastic. That is a huge safety concern. I assume it was a previous guest who probably did it to smoke in the room, but it is supposed to be on housekeeping daily checklist.
Last but not least, at 730am as I'm sitting on the bed watching TV and drinking coffee, someone opens my room door. I'm assuming housekeeping because when I yelled, a female apologized and left. They way the room is designed, I did not have visual and I didn't jump up because I was reaching for my gun in my purse.
I went to the front desk and though the manager was very apologetic, I was still shaken because the outcome could have been extremely bad.
Please train the housekeeping staff better on safety and security procedures and cleaning procedures while your at it.
The check in desk clerk was super nice and friendly. The night auditor, not so much.
They do have a nice continental breakfast and the coffee is exceptional for a hotel coffee.
