Stayed here with family after exchanging my timeshare in Las Vegas. The resort has many amenities, friendly staff and is super clean. We were impressed with everything. There are three pools, several hot tubs, private ocean access and activities for kids like shiv shows and movies. Location is convenient to movies, restaurants and shops. Highly recommend it.

This was a very nice, clean unit. We went with friends and there were 5 of us total, and there was plenty of room. All the staff was very nice to us. There was only a few minor room "repairs" that were needed, like the sink stopper got stuck when I pushed it down, but not a big deal. My...

My extended family own a total of 3 one bedroom suites and have always enjoyed everything about our stay. When the kids were little the activities in the clubhouse, playground, and kiddie pools were great ways of entertainment. Now, we play tennis together, shuffleboard, hang out in the hot tubs and pool til they close, and hang out at the...

Tried to do a quick getaway but ended up having to book 7 nights. Property was nice by OBX standards but certainly not modern in any way. Make sure you request a building with an elevator or else it's all stairs.

We were in 1e, great space even for 6. Nice view of the Ocean, great area to sit outside, 12 is a fabulous bike ride road. Pools were clean, staff was friendly. Great places to eat nearby or prep in your own well stocked kitchen. For a Gold Crown Resort my only disappointments were the laundry facilities, normal for me...

First time guest. This isn't really a resort. It is a condo property and I think if you can get your head around the fact that it isn't a luxurious resort, you will be satisfied that it provides comfort and essentials for a beach vacation. We stayed in a two bedroom unit. The condo unit has all the essentials and...

Fabulous time share to own or vacation at as a guest. We have owned for 18 years. The location is ideal, pretty much in the center of the outbanks so going to the Duck/Corolla area, Ocracoke, and Manteo is easy. The units have been very well maintained/improved/renovated over the years, unlike some time shares that are great when new, then...

pool is very small and crowded and very few recreation activities. Beach itself is pleasant. Rooms are clean and seem to be updated with newer furnishings. Good for the family but don't expect a lot of activities for the kids.

This is the second time we have stayed here and have enjoyed it both times. We had a one and one on the beach, we could not see the water because of the dunes but you could hear it and the beach was only a two minute walk away. They also have three bedroom units. If you do not want...

First, this property is not a "resort' with sprawling property and great beauty. It's a comfortable home base for your time at the beach. There are three sections with the office being across the street from the "pod village" that we stayed in. I'm guessing the circular buildings with a pointy roof are the 1 bedrooms and the traditional style...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a Time Share Resort that is family oriented. Friday check in's are across the street from the ocean with elevator access available in early 2014. These are two bedroom units. Saturday and Sunday check in's are oceanside and oceanfront with elevator access. One and three bedroom units on the oceanfront have elevators. Oceanside do not. There are two outdoor pools with hot tubs and one heated indoor pool with hot tub. We have shuffle board and tennis courts. Free wifi in the clubhouse and a free computer if needed. We offer free day passes to the local YMCA only two miles away. Plenty of activities daily for adults and children. We have beautiful beaches with spectacular views. Great local attractions very close to the resort. We have wheel chair access on our beach boardwalks with a large gazebo and viewing decks. We have 24 hour security and offer help with luggage especially for units without elevators via our luggage lifts. ... more   less
