We stayed here for 6 nights in a King suite. The views are amazing, a large balcony overlooking the ocean. We were on the 5th floor. The hotel is older, but very well maintained and upgraded. There was everything we needed in the kitchen and the suite was very large. Maintenance staff was very friendly and polite. Access to the ocean is much easier than many other places we have stayed, especially for an older couple with replacement knees. We never ate in the on site restaurant because there are many, many places to eat nearby. Elevator is a bit slow. Would definitely stay here again and will tell all our friends about this place.
Our nine-day stay was wonderful. Room was spotless and ready upon arrival. Check-in staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping staff were friendly and intent on making our stay issue free. location RIGHT ON THE BEACH cannot be better. We have reservations fo0r October.
When booked, the rate was too good to pass up and so booked it. Had a hard time entering the location due to the entrance was blocked due to repairs and so had to enter in the exit. Entering the room we found out the wall switch was inoperable thus causing the electrical outlet not to work. Found out the toilet and faucet didn't work so had to turn on the water. Bath tub caulking looked like it had mold or was dirty. Air was coming in from around the window. The remoter for the television was tricky, even with the instructions, once you got it on it was great. The deck personal slipped a 25% breakfast discount and maybe should have told us since we didn't find it until we left and could have used it for breakfast. Loved the curtain deflector to keep the curtain from interfering with the air conditioner or heater while blowing the air. Never seen anything like it and a great idea. The room was quiet and barely heard any noise from the rooms next to us. The hallway light inoperable.…
Off-season stay was a great deal at the Sea Ranch Resort. Due to the great prices in the winter, we opted to stay in a room right over the sand! We were on the fourth floor, and the view was amazing! Surprisingly, the solid walls and windows did not allow us to hear the surf that was thundering all night, but it was still nice to be right there. The king room was pretty clean. I always take my own wipes to wipe down all the surfaces, and in most hotels they collect dirt here and there. The coffee bar area could have been cleaner, and there was something wet in the fridge. But all in all, it was quite clean! The bed was comfortable. The shower was warm. Everything seemed in good repair. I appreciated the tiny Fitness Center elliptical machine and treadmill as it was awfully cold for an outdoor walk. My husband took advantage of free YMCA passes. The pool looked nice. We wished we had tried the restaurant. It is very cute and practically ON the sand dunes! It looked very nice. There was construction in the parking lot at the time of our visit, but I would assume this was just a seasonal thing. We would definitely stay again but probably only in the off-season as we may not like the high in-season rates.…
Enjoyed our time at OBX. duck.donuts was awesome in kill devil hills the aquarium in Manteo was fun and jockey ridge was amazing. Sea ranch resort is our favorite spot because of the heated indoor pool, great coffee, attentive staff and fair price.
We had two rooms. Never stayed here before, but we will certainly be back. Nice clean rooms, gorgeous ocean front views, helpful staff and delightful restaurant on site. Very conveniently located. You won’t be disappointed with a stay here!
Sea Ranch Resort is an older resort in Kill Devil Hills, right on the beach. It’s worth the slight extra cost to be on the beach side. The floor to ceiling double paned windows in many cases should be replaced, though. They were a little hard to see through. The beds were comfortable. Never turned on the tv, but assume it worked. The breakfast in the restaurant was very good. In mid-winter, that’s the only meal being served.
Location: Right on the beach. Fantastic views from balcony of a large expanse of the beach and ocean. Within easy driving distance to restaurants, shopping and sights. Property: Doors open to parking lot. A bit dirty in the elevator and sidewalk areas as one might expect for a beach property. The restaurant/bar are only open for breakfast in the off season. Staff: Professional land efficient but not particularly friendly. Room: Very large, two bedroom, two bath with kitchen and balcony. Breakfast: Not free but inexpensive. Fitness Center: Large but sparse. A free pass to the YMCA is available. Price: Fair for off season rate.
Went to the Outer Banks on a solo vacation for 3 days. Very relaxing. It's off season so no large crowds. Rates were affordable. My room was clean. Ocean view room is the only way to go. Beautiful ocean views right outside your door. I went to the bistro for breakfast. Food was delicious.
Excellent vibe and location. Beds comfortable, staff fun and family oriented, clean and food is excellent! Beach is such an easy walk! We are coming back every year! The hotel size is comfortable not too many people. The outside eating area is really cool as it is next to dune and can walk to ocean easily.
