I have never stayed at comfort inn before or have made a review on a hotel but I felt this was very needed. Due to the Marriott being overbooked I had to stay for one night during my work visit here in NC. The pictures online look nothing like in person. The elevator was disgusting with a smell so bad I almost threw up in my mouth and no I am not exaggerating. The hall way smelt of chlorine, hot musty air. The hall ways had trash cans and brooms laying around. The AC in my room was not on when I arrived so I got an instant swift of hot, musty air. The entire building smelt so bad I had to wear a mask to keep from gagging. The bathroom toilet wasn't cleaned thoroughly and the shower curtain was barley hanging on. I wanted to leave so bad but I had no other option and stuck it out for 1 night. Please have this hotel remodeled or deep cleaned.…
My parents and I stayed at this hotel during an overnight trip to Kings Mountain. One of the reasons we chose to stay here is that we have always enjoyed our stay with Comfort Inn, as we have stayed at several in the Choice Hotel chain across North Carolina. One of the things we like the most is the hot breakfast which is included with the rate. We enjoyed our breakfast very much. I had a mini-omelet, sausage links, a biscuit, coffee, and juice. Upon check-in, the young lady advised me that the carpet had been cleaned that day on 2nd floor. She cautioned me to be careful walking from the carpet to the tile floor. It was slippery and I was concerned for my 85 and 83 year old parents. The carpet in our room was VERY damp, and it even felt wet when I walked on the carpet with bare feet. A pair of shorts and shirt fell off my bed onto the floor while I was sleeping during the night. The shorts and shirt felt wet when I picked them up off the floor. The exhaust fan in our bathroom was loud and annoying. We couldn't leave the light on in the bathroom for getting up during the night. On a positive note, our beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. This hotel is about 3 miles from the new Two Kings Casino, opened by the Catawba Indian Tribe. The casino is located at the Dixon School Road exit off I-85.…
This Hotel looked nice on website. Got there and the first thing you notice is the hallways smell terrible. So dirty. Walls and room doors filthy. Pool is closed, both elevators broken. Not sure we’ve ever stayed in a worse hotel. Beware.
Lobby is big and nice. Area where you walk in to get to the room smelled like weed and the elevator as well. People stood outside the door area and smoked. First room was not great so I asked for another. They were accommodating, but the TV in that room was not that big. Bed was not "premium" bedding. I could feel the springs in the mattress. They have made upgrades to make it better. Glad it was only 60 bucks to stay one night. Breakfast was pretty good. Filled us up for the trip home.
I usually don’t write reviews, but for this comfort inn I have to. I’m a diamonds reward member so I stay at a lot of comfort inns throughout the year for work. First I came in and none of the staff were wearing mask. As I was checking in more staff came through the door with one of the staff members finger cut, while the others were trying to help her. The whole hotel had a horrible smell to it. My friend and I went to the room and as we were walking the smell got worse. We got to our room and we both agreed it smelt like cigarette smoke. The bathroom was dirty and stupid me sent pics to my friends on Snapchat asking if I should say something or just clean it. There was dried pee on the toilet seat. I went downstairs to just leave. They did offer me another room, but with the smell there my coworker didn’t want to stay there. So we left. I was still charged for one night. I would suggest just going across the street to the holiday inn. Also I called because I saw I was charged for the night. The manager said he and housekeeping went in and could smell nothing. Literally walking to the room you can smell a stench in the building. The outside may look nice, but ask to see your room before getting the place.…
This place is very convenient off the interstate. The check in gals were upbeat and cheerful. Our room was very nice, clean and quiet on the first floor. We enjoyed our breakfast station. I would have liked some sort of real egg dish, but they had a pretty good selection. The sweet pregnant girl was so nice and she was really working to keep everything clean. We felt like the hotel took good measures to make us feel safe. We swam in the pool in the morning and it was a perfect temperature. They have improved this hotel from when it was Super 8. We will return when we visit the grand daughter. Close to restaurants.
Room was nice however the bathroom was so small. Whoever designed it did not think to well. I was in 214 which was by the elevator and the ice machine. Didn't get much sleep due to lots of people getting ice at all hours of the night. A little kid was screaming out my door for his dad. Breakfast was empty and nobody in site to replenish it. The pool was closed due to the covid 19.
This was my first time visiting King Mountain. I enjoyed my stay at this Comfort Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful.. My room was clean, well stocked, and the breakfast good. Worth visiting again.
A great place for a modest price. Can't beat it. Very clean, recently updated. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the man at the front desk. We were on a road trip and usually chose our motels the day we needed one as we didn't always know how far we would travel. This motel rated at the top of all the motels we stayed in!
I went up to handle personal business in the area. This was the first time I ever stayed at this location. Super nice clean and taken care of. I was held over in my meeting and the owner was super nice to my family to whom I had left over at the motel. Thank you I will be giving you all my business when in the area.
