We arrived to find the property was completely torn up, check in was a construction trailer surrounded by dirt, building materials, noise and mess. Not one single advertised amenity was open. I decided to find another place to stay even though this was all paid for; it was beyond unacceptable. Arrived at 2:30 and was told "check in is 4...

We spent two nights here in one of their newly renovated townhomes. What we did not know before we got there is that the property is going through a huge renovation so there was lots of construction and refurbishment of the facility. Amenities were pretty much non-existent but, honestly, that's not what we were looking for anyway. What we were...

The week was so cheap through RCI we decided to give it another shot. Resort has been sold and will be renamed Beachwoods. MAJOR renovations are underway. Check in is in a mobile home in a parking lot. NONE of the resort amenities (pools, fitness, etc) are available at this time due to the renovations. Some of the walls in...

The pictures that are on the web site must have been taken the day it opened. In our parking spot is a don john's. Used and very old toilets are littered in the walkway where we walk to our car. While walking to our car, work men are throwing down from the third level, used bath tubs, used toilets, used...

The unit we stayed in was nice, very large but oddly configured. The MBR was too large and the other two bedrooms too small. All amenities were closed due to remodeling so we cannot comment on those. Wouldn't mind staying there again when remodeling is done.

We went to Barrier Island Station on February 15th. When we got to our unit we had NO HEAT for two days. Finally they moved us to another unit. Then we had NO WATER for two days. Finally we left early. DO NOT GO IN THE WINTER. They rent units in the winter that are unlivable. They did nothing for...

A few weeks before we were scheduled to go to this place we got a notice stating that the pool would be closed. If you were planning a Christmas getaway with kids who like to swim you would be out of luck. No activities either. Not a thing to do except watch the workmen look into a sewage hole in...

We enjoyed our stay at Barrier Island. It's not on the water but has a large outdoor pool, and an indoor pool. The setting is in the woods and was pretty quiet in September. We were on the ground floor which made it convenient to store our bicycles. There was a large jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom which was...

Stayed a week, this place needs to be updated, windows and doors need to be fixed. There was mold in the bathrooms. There was not a TV in all the bedrooms. The place was otherwise just Ok. The area was nice with many great places to eat.

We arrived late at night and got our room assignment at the guard house. We got a B unit and were told it was to be an A unit. Mentioned it at the office the next day and were promptly moved to the proper unit- the guard house attendant got our name wrong and we neglected to notice the error...

“Be sure to get an upstairs unit -- not much soundproofing when you have upstairs neighbors!”

“You will have no idea what facilities are available until you arrive and look for them. If you wish for a peaceful vacation with your family this is not the place to be. When not sightseeing off the resort property, you can stay in your room, not facilities on the property for you and your kids to use. Use your precious vacation time elsewhere.”
