This little gem has crept into one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. We took an impromptu trip here last weekend, as a quick side getaway from my boyfriend's business trip to Charlotte. Man, was it worth it.

We spent the week in one of their two VIP suites. Most comfortable bed ever! Bathroom bigger than our dining room at home with luxury claw foot tub and freestanding shower. The view was spectacular - placid lake with regal mountains beyond. The staff were...More
This spot is such a lovely place to get away for a few days. The staff are really extraordinary: friendly, helpful and cheerful. The location on the lake is easy to get to but still secluded. We found the porch with the canopy above such...More
I have had a great time! It's been so enjoyable! Can't wait to come back!!! The staff was friendly from start to finish and most helpful with anything needed! They printed maps for us and were great with directions! The view is breath taking!
This is a great place to stay. Quiet, clean and folks very helpful. Night was cold so we appreciated the gas fireplace. Room AC is difficult to turn off for quiet sleep but staff helped do it. Great view of lake. Only difficulty is that...More

We find the corner rooms quite nice and quiet. Have never stayed in mellow but the only rooms that are at all noisy are the first two rooms on the top floor chocolate paws and the one next to it, and that is only because of the hall air conditioner, most folks would not mind.. We generally stay in hole in one and find the view quite nice. I think yellow has an even better view but am not sure. The mingling hour is a bit chintzy but the meals are excellent, recommend eating there. Do not know about the other buildings but we have always found the main building excellent. Have stayed there many times over the years.

We stayed in Mellow Yellow which was not in the main lodge. It had a fireplace and a huge bathroom. We had a view of the Lake from the balcony in front of the room. We liked the fact that it was away from the lodge.
