If your looking for a place to get away from the world, this place is for you. The cabins come fully equipped including firewood for the fireplace which adds to the coziness. The views were spectacular as we watched the change of season. We went horse back riding and felt very relaxed - highly recommended

We booked two nights at Randall Glen to celebrate my husband's birthday after a raving review from a friend. Randall Glen was the perfect weekend getaway - we disconnected from technology and spent quality time as a family in the most peaceful and serene setting imaginable. Mary and Brian are two of the most kind people I have ever met!...

Want to get to the mountains? Want to expose the kids (& yourself) to animals and a working farm? Want to ride horses, pan for precious gems, walk some beautiful hills, or just relax in a hot tub? If so, then Randall Glen is a place where you ought to head out too. As many of the other reviews state,...

I want to give a completely honest review. It’s a LONG one – skim as needed ;) First, I want to tell you all the wonderful things about the Resort/ Working Farm, because there are MANY great things. 1. I am not a dog lover, but even I loved the BIG white Great Pyrenees dogs that were so sweet, laid...

Planned Randall Glen as our main stop for our first family road trip. We kept it a secret from the kids until the day before while at Citizens Burger in Charlottesville. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mary and a variety of farm animals and dogs. The kids (13, 10, 8 and 5) were so excited! We spent our 2...

I personally do not recommend booking a cabin stay at Randall Glen. I would suggest doing research on their rental policies. I was very unhappy with our stay on May 30th. We booked 3 nights at the cabin and we ended up only staying one night. We were very upset with the dogs on the property barking almost every hour...

Recently booked a Memorial Day camping trip to Rocky Creek "Campground". Upon arrival we found a cleared field sandwiched between a overgrown creek and a plowed agricultural field separated by barbed wire. The campground needs a lot of work to make it truly nice as the description on the website indicates. We have a weekend planned to stay in one...

We regret that Rocky Creek didn't suit you. In May the "cleared field" had not come out in grass yet, but now in June you would find a mowed and trimmed lawn, perhaps more to your taste. Though Rocky Creek is a small country campground, not a paved KOA, you failed to mention the two bath facilities, stone barbecue pit,...

My wife and I took 4 of the kids on a two day get away. I have to say I wish it could have been longer. We had an 18 year old, a 17 year old, a 15 year old, and a special needs 10 year old. We were worried at first if the kids would get bored but that...

I have nothing but good things to stay about Randall Glen Resort! My fiance and I stayed for three nights for our anniversary, and we could not have possibly been more happy with our vacation! To start off, the owners are probably the nicest people that we have ever met. We arrived way before check-in time (11am to be exact...

Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a real pleasure to have you here and to be part of your anniversary celebration. We loved having you here and we felt like you were in fact part of our working farm. And thanks for helping me rescue baby goats!

I had so much fun here! My boyfriend and another couple stayed at High Hickory in late April for 3 nights, Monday through Thursday. No one wanted to leave. People say you need 4WD to get up here, and while it's definitely preferred, we just had a little sedan that managed to get to our cabin (the highest one) without...

I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit with us--we enjoyed having you here! (I wish you hadn't been shy--we would have put you to work helping with chores. Maybe next time!)
