My husband and I stayed here from 9/9/2016 to 9/11/2016. We.come to Maggie Valley every year during this time but this was the first time ever staying here. We had some friends that were coming the same time and they were here too. When we first booked the room the only room they had available was a Queen room on...

The room was clean but the beds were hard. We asked for extra towels and were refused. We tried to enjoy the pool but the maintenance guy was drunk and out of line. We may stay again but not with the kids.

Far from an "inn," this accommodation is more of a low-end motel. The family that runs the place is very nice, but the rooms are substandard. The air conditioning unit was placed high on the wall. My short self couldn’t reach it without dangerously balancing on a chair. The plumbing is ancient, but there is plenty of hot water. The...

We have stayed many years at Castlewood Inn. Last trip was October of 2015. We have never had a bad experience here. It is in need of some update but very little. We find it quiet and comfortable. This is not the Hampton or some High class chain. This is WHY we like it. Local owned charm! We will be...

If you're looking for a nice, quiet, place to stay in Maggie Valley, look elsewhere! Anytime we entered or left our room we had to run a gauntlet of drunken, smoke billowing, partiers - and the parties ran until after midnight every night. When we tried to contact the Front Desk for help, there was no answer. Bottom line -...

Contact with the office after closing is by way of posted phone number that goes directly to managers quarters on site or by the doorbell located by the front office door. I see that you are from the middle of 'alcoholic, redneck, nicotine addicted' country, it must be pretty hard. We can take care of situations if we know about...

This was the worst hotel I've stayed at. Cobwebs on light fixtures, burn hole in blanket, mold on the wall in the shower, tar on shower rod and light switches. Smelled like mold,TV didn't work. Guy at the desk new nothing about local events.

We visit Maggie Valley several times a year. Our last stay was with Castlewood. Rocking chairs in front of the room is always my priority when staying in Maggie Valley. We checked in, the guy at the desk was very friendly, even gave me options of room locations. The price was a little higher than I expected, but it was...

We booked this last minute and were thoroughly impressed. It is an older establishment I thought for the price, however it was super clean which is the first thing I look for ..we had a king size bed that was super comfortable And the staff was very accommodating when we lost our key and when we had to get a...

Castlewood is one of the best places we have stayed in the NC Mountains. It is quaint, with rocking chair porches, a wonderful covered, and huge, gazebo. The people who work there are the best. We will stay there every time we go to the area.
