Mike and Dawn own and operate the best motel/cottage property in Maggie Valley for sure. The property is extremely well kept, family and dog friendly, and the rates are quite reasonable. I have personally stayed in the motel, cabins, and now the 3 bedroom trailer(#8) and have never had a problem with anything. Dawn takes the time to get to...

This hotel is clean and very homey. The couple that run it are very nice. They have hotel rooms, cottages, and a beautiful land very quiet. Reasonable prices. Very cozy I enjoyed my stay and I would stay there again when I return

Our second visit and it was even better than the first! Dawn and Mike are excellent hosts and anticipate your every need. Cottages are so cozy and everything is clean and pretty. And did I mention, the most pet-friendly place to stay in Maggie! Dudley-do-Right had a great time. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Alamo Motel and...

Once again visited with Dawn & Mike at the Alamo Motel & Cottages. Stayed in cottage # 8 for a week. Dawn provided a pkg of places to see in & around Maggie Valley. She certainly knows her stuff. The hospitality was excellent, & cottage was spotlessly clean, We try to visit each year simply because the service, hospitality, &...

This is a basic cottage with in need of some repair. Considering the rates, it was well worth the price. It is pet friendly and the owners are nice and go out of their way to please their guests. Great place to go to and visit other areas that are within a short distance.

Nice friendly owners. Clean. Reasonably priced. No maid service. Will exchange towels or get you what you need. Little noisy since hotel is near road. Offer to walk or let out your pet while you are away. Older one story hotel. Comfortable bed.

If you are travelling to this area with your dog, and want a clean, inexpensive place to sleep and use as a base camp, you won't go wrong with the Alamo Motel. They are truly dog lovers, and even offered to dog sit with our furry child while we went to dinner. The room was adequate and clean, not at...

Our family went on a last minute spring break trip to a Maggie Valley. The cottage we stayed in was very clean. We had everything we needed and Mike was more than happy to get us whatever we might need or answer any of our questions about the area. The laid back atmosphere was perfect for our 3 older children....

What can I say...I've reviewed mostly large chain hotels where I've been, but this place deserves to be talked about too. My wife works in medical, and after spending twelve days on, and being diagnosed with high blood pressure to boot, I wanted to treat her to a quiet weekend in the Smokies. Trust me, the Alamo did not disappoint....
