Unfortunately, my room was nearest the loudest ice machine and side entrance, it was so distracting. The mattress needs to be flipped because when I set down in the middle side of the bed, I fell in - so basically the springs are compromised. You can guess that I did not sleep well. On the upside, they offer breakfast and the rooms have fridges and microwaves.
The room was clean, had great water pressure, air conditioner worked great and friendly staff. (My husband smiled-a very good sign.) The bed was a little firm but not horrible. My preference is a little softer. Will definitely stay again if we get back this way.
The hotel needs major upgrades. The shower door was missing and the curtains were a disgrace with holes from age. The lighting was our of the 60's and the furniture showed wear and tear. The comforter was patched. Another guest we met also complained about the condition of their hotel room.
Place sucked. People up partying all night, drugs and hookers why else would people be in cars in parking lot at 3 am when we left because we couldn't take it anymore. Management pitiful. Was told we can't control what people do. Well thats sounds like you can do what ever you want and they won't do anything about it nice. Stay away
I have considered Sleep Inn Hotels a good value; usually clean, full breakfast, and descent rooms. I was most disappointed in my stay at the Sleep Inn in Morganton, NC, however. While the front desk staff tried to be helpful, they couldn't provide much. A continental breakfast was advertised, but no breakfast was provided. Understanding that COVID has placed limitations on businesses, individually wrapped muffins, or yogurt could be provided. They didn't even have coffee or tea! I heated water and brought my own tea bags but the desk could not provide sweetener. Finally, after venting my frustration, Lynn, the night clerk dug into a personal stash and provided me w/sweetener. We ran out of facial tissue and was told they were completely out. Our bathroom door would not close all the way. Maintenance looked at it but said they could not repair it until we checked out. Upon check out, the manager acknowledged my frustration and admitted that they receive a "lot of complaints". Morganton is growing. New hotels have opened and more are in the process. This Sleep Inn will need to up its game to compete.…
Room smelled musty so we wiped hard surfaces with Clorox wipes. Tub/shower was dirty. Bed was very comfortable. No coffee maker in the room and no breakfast because of COVID-19. If you’re going to leave a remote control and tv in the room, why not leave a coffee maker? It can be wiped down easily. We won’t be back.
We stayed here for one night (10/25/19) for an event on the 26th. Between all of us, we had about 7 rooms. The rooms are small, but sufficient for short stays. They were well equipped with coffee maker, microwave and mini-fridge. All of our rooms were clean and comfortable, albeit nothing fancy. The night we were there, it was very quiet. For the price, it was a good value. Decent location, Pet-friendly with a fee ($35).
Stay was uneventful. Breakfast was normal continental breakfast. The area was safe and the hotel was secure. The staff was friendly and helpful. It met our expectations and was perfect for what we needed.
My room was very comfortable, the shower was great, and bed slept wonderfully. I had no problems with the temperature. The room was in excellent condition. I enjoyed my stay and would go there again. Based on other reviews, I think I may have had a remodeled room and would recommend a room on the first floor where I was placed. The property itself is not very attractive when entering the parking lot but the interior was nice. If I could change anything, I would mount the TV on the wall. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel. There is not much very close to the hotel but downtown is not far. As a single traveler, there were many doors close to the parking lot for quick access.
Room smelled like mold, beds were very uncomfortable, didn't sleep well at all. Service was fair, breakfast was fair. I would recommend spending an extra $9 and stay across the parking lot at the Qaulity Inn. If we travel to the area again we will not be staying at this location.
