My husband and I stayed here for two nights and we enjoyed our stay!! The bathroom was small, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean!! Easy walk to the beach(right across the street) and there are many delicious restaurants near by(Sam & Omie's, Miller's Waterfront, Fish Heads)!! The Outlet Mall is also near by!! We would stay again!!
Let me just list the things I observed while staying here. - no friendly check-in. You stand in front of a ATM-like teller machine and talk to some guy in the Philippines. - drain hole in sink is open with a Walmart rubber stopper sitting beside sink. - When we arrived, the tile floors wet in bath and main room, like puddles wet. - no towel rack around shower - no surface beside sink to put your toiletries on. No cubboard, shelf or surface. - door to bath doesn't stay open. It swings itself to where there's a crack. - then to close the bath door completely takes an elephant hit and will wake everyone - cheap coffee creamer/sweetener packs. Invest in flavored creamer cups. - blanket is a thin old piece of cloth - sheets are a dirty off white color from use and no bleach, same for pillow cases. - When we arrived there was some sort of towel arrangement on bed that had horns and looked like the satanic BAAL with threadbare twisted wash cloths that we're yellowing from use and no bleach. They tried to be classy, but failed miserably. - curtains didn't close completely. 3" of no privacy crack at the edge. -TV not mounted on swivel mount. Fixed to the wall so must be viewed at an angle. - ceiling stains - weird two sided bolt lock on bathroom - sex trafficking "you must stay in here while I'm gone" type of bolt lock at a weird height of about 6-feet up. Just creepy. -but they had a portable humidifier in case 90% humidity of the area just doesn't do it for you. Weird blue fridge. They're trying to insert a trendy item. I get that. But it doesn't fit ANYTHING else about the room. Also, there is an old yellowing microwave on top. -shower barely a spit -no outlets whatsoever on the door side of the bed So, 2-star at best. AT BEST.…
Does anyone have another phone # than 252 442 5242? No one answers-rings 10 times than message says not in service. I have sent three emails-no response. Their website says pet friendly ans I have stayed here before with my dog but after I booked -through their website my confirmation email says " Pets are NOT allowed in any room" so which is it? I tried to call and ask but no answer-so I am canceling Help
We were staying for 2 weeks in OBX but switching houses between weeks and needed a place to stay on Friday night before our second week rental was ready on Saturday. Found a room at the Seahorse Inn for 199$. Room was pretty clean but overpriced in my opinion for the accommodations provided. Definitely needs some updating. Pictures attached for more explanation. Front desk checkin was super polite, friendly and helpful so that was a bonus.
We stayed here for my son's wedding in the area. We needed accommodations that allowed our dog. Very happy with the room and cleanliness. We were first greeted by Lana who was extremely friendly and informative about the area. Adequate parking for my oversize SUV in front and back. Parking between the cottages and motel is tight for larger vehicles. I'd only recommend it for loading and unloading. Then move to the front or back. The motel is very well maintained and kept clean. No onsite restaurant, so that's when we met Cheryl. Who gave us the low-down on places to eat within walking distance. Due to Covid, there's no daily room cleaning. But you can get reloaded with supplies by going down to the office. That's when we met Ira. Just went down to ask for one thing and she made sure that we had enough towels and sundries for my family of four. Thanks to Lana, Cheryl, and Ira for your hospitality!!…
I was pleasantly surprised by this motel for the price. We booked for 3 nights back in March before everything got super expensive for summer. Our room was very clean, during check-in and check-out the staff was very helpful, and I really liked how I could see the ocean from the 2nd floor balcony of the motel and from certain angles out my window. It is pet friendly which I really appreciated and had a small refrigerator and microwave which really came in handy. The shower was pretty small with limited area to put things but this is not meant to be a super luxurious place. Proximity to the beach was perfect all you have to do is walk right across the street. We had a great time and would stay again in the future!
Stayed here one night for a friend's wedding at the pier across the street. $168/night was already highway robbery for the crappy room we got. Mattress on a bare metal frame (like a camp cot), dirty tile floor, not a picture on the wall. The ceiling in the bathroom had been leaking before we got there, but the desk clerk told us it was fixed. It continued to leak. We were unable to use the shower. The desk clerk offered to move us to another property or refund our money. We chose to stay there since we were only staying one night anyway. Have been trying to get my money back for a month. First they said it would show up in a few days, then they said they had already refunded me, now they will not return my calls.
My husband and I booked this place for our anniversary and I can honestly say I’ve never been more disgusted with a place. The bathroom door didn’t shut and the toilet ran the entire time we were there, needless to say we didn’t sleep much, but that wasn’t even the worst part. I didn’t realize that cockroaches came with the stay. We had to play exterminator to numerous bugs including cockroaches the size of my thumb, sewer flies and mosquitoes. We ended up cutting our stay short by two days. When I asked for a refund for those two days the woman behind the desk wasn’t able to process the refund. I was told management was at another property and would call when they got in. Unfortunately, I missed the call and when I called back I was told they would only refund one of my days. I’m assuming they couldn’t refund my other day because they needed to pay for a professional exterminator. Thanks for ruining our anniversary! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! …
I reserved a room with this hotel a month in advance and received confirmation from the hotel via email twice. We drove over 3 hours to get to the hotel at the exact check in time and we're told they didn't have a room available because they overbooked. They then changed their tune when we complained and said they didn't have record of our reservation even though we showed proof of the emails. Very rude staff and inconsiderate on a weekend where all other hotels were booked. I would never stay at this inn or advise anyone to take a chance with how we were treated.
This is not a resort. There is no pool, no breakfast, and no gym. We knew this when we booked. This was a very clean and quiet place. The staff was friendly from the office to the custodial crew. The room was clean and comfortable. We will come back! Plus, it's pet friendly!
