Sharon and John are a "hoot"! Even more so if Sharon's sister Amy is visiting, which she was when we were there, May1-5, 2016! :) Located very/very near the Ocracoke Lighthouse, about 150 walking meters away. :) Pretty cool since you can easily see it from the property. We stayed in the Portsmouth Suite on the 3rd floor. Wonderful room,...

Stayed in the Portsmouth Suite. Lovely balcony, great views and superb facilities. Sharon was really helpful and the 17.30 glass of wine and nibbles with other guests made for an interesting and enjoyable stay. No problem either when we asked for a breakfast "grab & go" at 06.30 so that we could get the early ferry to Cedar Island. Thanks...

My husband and I stayed here over New Year's for our anniversary. Not much is open on the island but there was still plenty to do. The best part of our trip were the innkeepers Sharon and John. They made our trip very pleasant and relaxing.

We arrived at the Cove just in time for Happy Hour which featured a pleasant wine and really great fresh bread and cheese. Our hostess, Sharon, made us feel welcome and right at home. The next day Sharon made blueberry pan cakes for breakfast and when our daughter dropped a berry causing a stain on the shirt she was planning...

Upon our arrival at the Cove, we met Sharon, who was very warm and welcoming. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Overall this bed and breakfast is very quaint and relaxing. The only downfall , we could only stay one night.

Excellent breakfast and happy hour food especially the Ceviche. Enjoyed the bounty of bicycles for the times you just don't want to drive, actually once parked in the drive there is no real need to drive except to go fishing or shelling. It was nice to be away from traffic. Our room was huge with a great big bed and...

We stayed at the Cove over a long weekend and it was just what we needed! The house was very clean and comfortable plus the hospitality we received from Sharon, John and Amy was top notch! They are very knowledgeable about the island and didn’t hesitate to share their favorite restaurants and activities with us. We stayed in the Plover...
