While attending a nearby conference we stayed at this hotel four nights and enjoyed every minute! When we arrived, everything was ready and we were very quickly heading to our room. The room was great and suited our needs while we were there. Parking out front is free and there were always open spots. Each morning we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and there were a variety of hot dishes, cereals, and muffins available. We interacted with the staff throughout our stay and always found them pleasant and informative.

Hotel's Favourite
Great location to stay. There is Walmart close by the hotel and convenient to go downtown Bernard. The hotel is close to Pisgah National Park. Lots of hikers and bikers stayed at Hampton Inn Brevard. The staffs are very and our room is clean.

This is a difficult review for me to write because this was formerly my favorite Hampton Inn to visit (and it's going to be long because I want to cover everything). I have been staying here multiple times a year for about 5-6 years. The location right at the entrance to Pisgah NF is wonderful, and you are just minutes from downtown Brevard and many other options around the area. Pre-pandemic this was a five star hotel. Post pandemic, I have sadly watched things decline in all aspects of service, value, and cleanliness. My last stay was at the end of October '22. After getting settled into my room I noticed that the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. There were some plastic pieces near the trash can and a pair of contact lenses by the bed. The desk was a little dirty with crumbs. I debated saying anything, but eventually decided that I should mention it so that the manager is aware. On my way down to the desk, I encountered a tied up bag in the stairwell, the kind that people use for dog poop. I'm not sure what it contained, but it definitely had something in it. I mention both the cleanliness of my room and the bag to the manager. She asked if I wanted to switch rooms, which I declined. I had already unpacked and checked to see if the same room type was available (it was not). Not my favorite thing, but I'll just wear shoes while in my room. She also offered housekeeping services for the next day, which I originally accepted, but then changed my mind. I really don't like people coming into my room. Ultimately she reduced the rate a bit for the first night. I sincerely appreciated all of these gestures. I think what bothered me was the nonchalant attitude about it. In addition to the carpet, I also mentioned that there was a bug in my curtains. She said it was probably a stink bug, (it was) and that they just get in through the AC, they can't do anything about that...them and the lady bugs. Ok. By the end of my three night stay I had about a dozen dead ladybugs, two stinkbugs, and three (two were very large) spiders that had been in my room. I'm a backpacker, this stuff doesn't really bother me, but I would prefer to keep bugs out of my hotel room. I can also see where this would be a huge no-go for a lot of people. Again, just the "oh well, we can't do anything" attitude I found a little odd and not typical of HI. Later on my first evening I discovered that the microwave was unplugged. I have an Rx that I need to microwave nightly, so I needed to relocate the microwave to the desk (an accessible plug) to use it. The plug behind the unit was not easily accessible. Just another thing that housekeeping missed that made me wonder "what else was missed." Oh, the dog poop bag...she said it would be taken care of right away and this was around 7pm. It was still there the next morning when I went to breakfast and left for the day (1030am). By the time I returned from hiking around 4 it had finally been removed. There were a few other things that just sort of made me a little "meh" on this visit. Multiple times the second floor hallway smelled very strongly of weed. I honestly don't care about people smoking weed, but again, I know this is something that a lot of people would definitely not enjoy, and had it been a room adjacent to mine, I wouldn't either. The hallway carpet is in need of a deep cleaning. It was unusually noisy on this trip, I could hear all of my neighbor's conversations. Obviously the structural components of the building haven't changed, just mentioning it. The HVAC in my room wouldn't get to a specific temperature, always about two degrees off (again, not a disaster but just sort of hmmm on top of everything else). The wifi was really slow. It took 20 minutes to download a one hour podcast and then when I tried to listen to one that hadn't been downloaded it kept stopping to "buffer." I think all of these things combined would have really put a damper on a lot of people's vacations. I'm going to try one more time at this hotel, but if it's a similar situation, it may be time for me to try a Hampton a little further out of town....which makes me really sad!

My sixth visit to the Hampton Inn and as usual the staff, particularly Pam, and the breakfast staff were outstanding. I found the room to be clean and well-equipped as usual. There is, however, one suggestion that I would like to make to management. There should be some type of slip resistant surface on the shower floor. As we have experienced since the Pandemic, the rooms are not being cleaned on a daily basis. In the shower, accumulating soap on the floor will eventually cause a slip and fall. That is an easy fix and should be done

This is a nice hotel and though next to a Walmart, you'd never know it. It's also off the road so it's quiet. The location is very convenient for traveling the Pisgah Highway and seeing the nearby waterfalls, only minutes away. The room was nice: good bed, shower, etc. My only complaint is that it didn't have a continuous AC fan to block out any outside noise. We left the bathroom fan on at night to create some background noise just in case. Nice treat: they put out delicious, fresh cookies in the evening for guests. Our best experience: our daughter left some clothes in her room when we checked out, and when starting to leave, the "maid" (a guy) came running out to catch us and gave our daughter the clothes she left in the room. This was way above and beyond what he had to do. Most unusual these days for someone to be so thoughtful.

We liked this facility and the location. Walk through the parking lot to an excellent Japanese restaurant was a nice treat. The layout of the room was different from any other Hampton Inn where we have stayed. We liked that too.

My husband and I tried a near by hotel first and after a sleepless night we went to this Hampton Inn. We loved this hotel. It is updated, clean, the beds are very comfortable, the full service breakfast was very good and most important it was not noisy! A bonus is that the entrance to the Pisgah Forest is right by the hotel and there is a Walmart to get supplies for your day in the park. It is also a short drive to Brevard for sight seeing.

Thanks for a great evening as we rested from traveling before our day of antiquities shopping in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. The relaxing sleep and healthy breakfast kept us in a great mood all day, until lunch ⭐️

Staying as part of a family visit to Brevard college. Great atmosphere, staff and breakfast. My family loved the Christmas shop area and decor in the lobby. Highly recommend for anyone staying in Brevard area. Staff was also very knowledgeable on local cuisine, great stay. We will be back.

We arrived late and did the digit key option. The room was very dated but set and ready to receive us. The stay was all down hill from there. No check in check up from the front desk/manager. Absolutely no room service around basic needs even though we stayed Wed-Sun. No one was ever at the front desk.
