We stayed in the Cochran room and it was described as having a bathroom a few steps away but not in the room. What it doesn't say is that you walk out your room where the other rooms doorways are and you have to walk past another room where others are staying, to get to the bathroom. Not much privacy for late night trips to the bathroom or just getting out of the shower) The host was very nice. The restaurant hostess was not very friendly and with all the local breweries in the area, the restaurant didn't have any local beers (some were listed on the menu but there was some excuse why they didn't have any to serve) We would not stay here again but for history buffs, it might feel charming enough to overcome the other shortfalls.
We stayed here for 3 nights on a mid-week getaway to Brevard NC. The Inn is very rustic and historic. We liked that they had pictures of the original owners and the original deed. The owner Richard was very communicative (text before we arrived saying room was ready, and answered several questions for us). Breakfast was very good. We had cheesy scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, toast, a biscuit, jelly, fresh made coffee and a fruit parfait. Richard was also helpful in suggestions for dinner and sights around town. The room we stayed in had a king sized bed which was nice. The bathroom to that room is a little odd in that it has a few stairs to go down (all on the website). Shower was big enough and plenty of hot water. The only thing I would recommend is they put one of the larger toilets in the room. It has the old circle style versus the oval style. We walked along the property and it's a short walk to see a beautiful waterfall. Very nice property and in a very quiet location. We would stay there again.…
I have the pleasure of living in the Smoky Mountains year round but was looking forward to a weekend retreat at Key Falls Inn and this past weekend did not disappoint! The grounds are inviting and the main house is gorgeous! Solid, pre-Civil War construction really adds to the charm and relaxing atmosphere of the Inn itself. The house is very well decorated, immaculately clean and has a very serene, peaceful ambience. The grounds offer tennis, horseshoes and plenty of room to roam. There are microclimates ranging from large open fields with a stream running through, to shaded rhododendron, pine and mixed hardwoods as you gently ascend the hill which culminates at the waterfall after which the bed and breakfast is named. The gardens are lovely even though it is winter time. Looking forward to seeing them as they fill in for season! I could most certainly envision beautiful weddings and other events and gatherings here. Picturesque settings in the main house, out in the fields, by the large barn, stream, pond, cabin, waterfall...this place has it all. Lovely patios and porches to relax on, stream to play in, 270° views of the mountains and an easy hike to a beautiful waterfall made for the perfect weekend getaway! I can say I truly left the Inn feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. Richard, the Inn’s owner, was a great host! He’s very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Planning a family reunion at Key Falls Inn, so, definitely planning on going back and definitely recommend!…
Richard is a very attentive host, whose creativity and hospitality is evident, at this tranquil, fashionable space tucked into the countryside between Brevard and Hendersonville! A great find for our mountain getaway! We highly recommend the Key Falls Inn for couples and individuals shopping, hiking and exploring in Western North Carolina.
We just returned from a relaxing stay at the beautiful Key Falls Inn. They go above & beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyed. The rooms are very comfortable, food is delicious & the views are stunning.
We came to Brevard to visit friends and found this wonderful historic Inn for our stay. We were greeted by Daniel who welcomed us with a great overview of the Inn and area. We stayed in the Cochran room, which is the only room with an unattached bathroom. We actually liked this a lot. All other rooms and suites have a bathroom. Andy prepared amazing breakfasts that rival any. We stayed 4 nights so enjoyed the Inn, the property and the only private waterfall in the Pisqua National Forest. We met the owners and they shared with us their plans for expansion. We can’t wait to come back.
We just returned from a very enjoyable three night stay at the Key Falls Inn in Pisgah Forrest, NC. The name is genuine for there is a stunning water fall an easy hike from the inn. My wife, my sister, and I found the facility delightful and used its extended public area as perfect place for our mini family reunion. The folks running the establishment were also delightful. The owner (Miss Tina) and manager (Miss Millie) were very helpful, and Chef Andy created excellent breakfasts. The Key Falls Inn was a wonderful place to spend a few days visiting the mountains. We hope to return.
I decided take weekend break and explore new place. I had fantastic experience at Key Falls Inn , Bed and Breakfast. The food was delicious and place clean and very cozy. I strong recommend to my friends and I will be back .
My husband and I had been on a hike before we checked in, so it was a pleasant surprise to be given a glass of champagne and some delicious cookies when we first arrived. We stayed in the Stewart room, which was very comfortable and spacious. The best part was the breakfast that awaited us the next morning. We lucked out and were the only ones staying so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We were served the Mediterranean breakfast. Very delicious and service was wonderful. Be sure to check on Facebook for any specials. I wish I would have seen that before I had booked our room. Could have saved 20%! We will hopefully be back and maybe even try the cabin. Be sure to walk to the waterfall that is on the property. Another little surprise.
We visited the Brevard area in early September and stayed here for 2 nights. We enjoyed our stay. The inn is clean and has all the character of an older home. Our room was spacious and comfortable. On our first evening there we had a nice visit with the owners. They shared some things about the inn and area, especially the area around DuPont Forest. It was nice a and the info was helpful as we had planned to go to DuPont the next day. The food was good and filling. The staff was polite and helpful. Each day the owner came in and checked on us at breakfast just to see how we were doing and whether we needed anything. We stay in B & B’s regularly and we really enjoyed our visit to Key Falls and will stay here again when we visit the Brevard area again.
