I stayed here two nights this past weekend. The hotel was very nice but what made the stay five stars were the employees. Everyone I met was genuinely nice and cared about their guests. Leslie at the Front Desk was especially helpful. The room was squeaky clean. Housekeeping was working overtime with a full house. But they made up my room the first day of my stay, which was a pleasant surprise. Most hotels have gone to only servicing the room when you check out. I can highly recommend this hotel.
I spent three nights at this place -- doing so in two different rooms (long story). One room was significantly better than the other, which is why I titled my review as such. I stay at Choice Hotels constantly (Platinum Level), so I am used to a certain price for a certain level of quality, the latter depending either on the location or the amenities. Other than motorcyclists looking to drive the Tail of the Dragon, Robbinsville is not a tourist hot spot, and this place did not have a ton of amenities, so I was surprised at the cost for my stay. Both of my rooms had a full bath, phone, AC, radio-alarm, coffee-maker, iron & board, and TV with over 100 channels. Neither had a microwave, and only one had a fridge or a hair dryer. I also had trouble with the door lock and total lack of hot water one time. The staff was professional and friendly -- this was the ONLY Choice Hotel I've ever been to that noted I was an "Elite" Member and thus should get a welcome bag. It was only pretzels & bottled water, but the thought was nice. Free amenities included parking, wifi, and exercise room. A few restaurants are nearby, but two that I had hoped to eat at were permanently closed -- it was as if the town could not sustain more than a few chain restaurants. As is becoming more common these days, all smoking is prohibited throughout this lodging. Security did seem to be better than average, with the lobby being about the only way to get to any part of the motel. The front door stated that masks were required when indoors, but (other than myself) literally NOBODY inside, either staff or guests, wore a mask. Unless you really want to experience the area around Robbinsville, I can't recommend staying here, at least for the price I paid. It was okay, but not up to my other experiences with Choice Hotels.…
The hotel is very nice clean and there rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room has a bar sink microwave and fridge, a mini kitchen of sorts. The only bad thing is their is not enough parking too support the hotel. There was more parking for bikes than cars.
We stayed for one night and the staff were beyond amazing! They went above and beyond to help us get firewood for the fire pit. After a long ride we always have to have a fire and the staff made sure I got it! The place is clean, beds are great. We love how they have towels to wipe down the bikes.
My wife and I stayed three nights at the Quality Inn in Robbinsville for a long weekend in mountains. Staff were very friendly and the room was very nice. A suite, it was very spacious with a small kitchenette and room to spread out. Bathroom was nice as well and the hotel was very clean. The hotel is in a great location in Robbinsville, close to restaurants and stores in town with easy access to Lake Santeetlah, Joyce Kilmer and other areas in Nantahala National Forest. We would definitely stay here again next time we're visiting the area.
