This place is SPACIOUS! We had all our children and grandchildren for our bi-annual vacation. 12 adults and 11 babies & children under 9 yrs old. We loved our rooms! Each room has a private bathroom and back porch! The living room was so big that we all were able to sit around and visit, play games etc... The dining...

We got married at the Blue Boar this past June. We'd never been to the Blue Boar before, but took a chance and, boy, were we ever satisfied. The property looks just like the photographs - maybe even better. Everything was spotless, the place smelled fresh and clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the kitchen and outdoor areas...

We are five kids with five spouses and many kids ages 2-35 that get together every other year. We have been to Lake Norris and Pigeon Forge, and both had their charms, but the Blue Boar Inn on Lake Santeetlah has been our best experience yet. The eight suites are laid out well and separate the kid zone (TV/gaming) from...

This is such a wonderful find ....we went to a birthday celebration so our whole group of friends could be together ,cook, drink and have some fun on the lake . We rented a few pontoon boats ,everyone brought plenty of food to cook and munch on . This is located in a dry county so BYOB. The kitchen is beyond...

We rented the entire Inn for a 4 day weekend and had an unbelievable experience. Each couple had their own bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and private porch. The kitchen was industrial size with numerous dishes, pots and pans, 4 refrigerators plus a freezer, and ice maker. Sure made cooking fun!! The dining room and sitting room had a large area...

The lake and mountains are awesome and we have built wonderful family memories that will be with us for a lifetime! The Inn was very clean and...

Our extended family spent Thanksgiving (2013) at the Blue Boar Retreat. It accommodated 22 people comfortably (only one Aerobed was needed in one of the rooms). The rooms are very roomy each w/ it's own sitting area, bathroom, and outdoor access. The "common" area has lots of room and sitting areas. The dining area is very large and could easily...

Many B&Bs do not allow children, but with the private entrances, accomodating staff, and different sitting areas our 2 year old did not disrupt other guests when he wanted to watch Elmo early in the morning. The fridge was essential for baby formula, a tub to bathe the kids, and the in-room alcove was perfect for the portacrib and good...

We just had a wonderful stay at the Blue Boar Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were there for a 2 day weekend. The power went out about 5:00pm , after a long day at the lake on our boat. The inn had a generator and gas kitchen so we feasted on a gourmet meal despite the lack...

“All rooms are identical except king or 2 double beds and chaise versus 2 comfy reading chairs, but the garden view rooms have a better view than the mountain view rooms. The rooms look exactly like the pictures on the website.”

“I suggest rooms on the left side of the lodge as you enter for the best view. Otherwise, they are all alike except for bed arrangements.”
