My family and I enjoyed staying at this motel because it was very clean, had everything we needed, and a pool! The owners of the motel, Sharon and Fred, were 2 of the sweetest people I've met...they treated us like family! The ocean is just a very short walk from the room. My mom especially loved the rocking chairs on...

Stayed for 10 days the first of July! Great place - very clean -the owners are very friendly -and prices are very reasonable -definitely would stay here again -and will next may before I move to Buxton! Took me 20 hours to get here - but we'll worth the drive!

A great place to stay for an incredible price! The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beautiful beach is just a short stroll away. The owners are wonderfully friendly. I will be back!

We chose the Sea Sound Motel based on our desire to find nice accommodations at a fair price. Our second requirement was a great beach, without an abundance of people. Needless to say we found both at the Sea Sound in Rodanthe. Our trip was relaxing, fun and still close enough to attractions in the general area to visit. The...

Our 4th visit for 3 nights in Aug 2016 for our family of 9. We had to "efficiency" rooms that have mini kitchens in them with full stove and full fridge. This motel is located in Rodanthe, NC. It is walking distance to the beach with a clean swimming pool our family loved. As long as you stay 3+ nights...

I had to change my dates for staying here and Sharon was able to work that out with me - great for a busy season! She and her husband are super-friendly and directed me to several interesting local sites, and a grocery store! My room was second floor and I could see the ocean from the deck. The beach was...

Stayed here for four night March 26-30. Cannot say enough about the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the owners. It was a short spring break trip and this motel suited the bill for cost and quality. Love the Rodanthe area and was so thrilled to find this little beach motel. Would not hesitate to stay again.

This place has beat out the chain hotels like Baymont Inn in Manchester, CT for the Best Value to date on our long 60-day trip down to Key West. This is not a brand new property but it felt like new inside. It is so well-situated between the Sea and the Sound sides of this stretch of the Outer Banks....

A true beach motel. Cozy, clean and comfortable. A short walk to the beach. The owners are very personable. Rates are very reasonable. Rodanthe is the quintessential beach town! No tourist traps here. Can't wait to return and stay longer.

First time to the OBX and decided to give Sea Sound Motel a shot after reading the good reviews. I agree; this motel is well kept, it's in a convenient and peaceful location, and the staff is friendly. Would stay again for sure.
