What a wonderful experience, from the time you step inside the door until you leave, your hosts cater to your every need. BBQ was great! Atmosphere delightful. We did not get to stay the night (breakfast would have been included} but we will be back . There is a stream running behind and the sound is heavenly

My husband and I only stayed one night at the Red Lion Inn, but our stay is one that we will always hold special in our hearts. On our way to Durbin, West Virginia to hop the Castaway Caboose (see my separate review for this one), we traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway. When you don't plan things, you either get...

My husband and I stopped at the Red Lion Inn and Restaurant on our way to the cabin we had reserved in Rosman. The owners were sitting on the front porch when we arrived and quickly ushered us in, seated us on the screened-in back porch (complete with the sound of a rushing stream) and suggested the BBQ plate, which...

Food is above average and a nice experience. The porch over the stream in the summer and the fire place in the winter provide a pleasant vibe. Rooms are being updated. Service is professional and very home town friendly. Only open on Friday and Saturday for dinner, but worth the trip.

We stayed at the Red Lion Inn for 2 nights in late July. Michael the owner is ver friendly and easy going. It is an old family property. The room was country simple: wood floors, clean, No TV (yeah!), country decor. It is not modern looking, more charming. We hiked the beautiful areas nearby: Panthertown Valley, Hwy 215, and Gorges...

My family and I came for dinner and were very, very happy. Their French onion soup is the best we've ever had. The steaks were excellent, the chicken was very good, too, the grilled vegetables were lovely and fresh, and the salads were colorful and full of good things you only usually see at home. We will certainly be back...

I was over from England visiting my daughter. Some friends had recommended The Old Red Lion Inn so a party of us booked for Saturday 24 the May. Out of the five steaks we ordered four had to go back as they were overdone and tasteless. The meals were not taken away, just new steaks were cooked for two and...

I've known the owner for a long time now and was so excited when he decided to purchase the Inn, as this was his childhood home! My family and I stay there every time we go home to visit, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The Red Lion is family/kid friendly, dog friendly, and one of the most...

We know the owner and when we found out he had purchased this property we promised to come to dinner. We were not disappointed. We ate on the deck where you can hear the brook below. Mark Yaxley, a local guitarist, provided very nice music throughout the evening. They do not have menus. The waitress recited the fare-it's mostly chicken,...
