We wanted to walk to the beach so this was a good location . When we arrived we were directed to a very full field with a whole mix of people mainly "surfers with no kids" or groups and only a few spaces left in the middle...we are a family with young kids and so we told the staff we...

This campsite was very tidy and the staff friendly. Toilet block and showers were always very clean and well kept by Verity who worked very hard. The breakfast van was also a treat serving hot filled rolls. The adjoining holiday park offered good restaurants, bars and shops also with a smile and the opportunity to watch the Olympics.

These guys are should be ashamed of themselves. Location is pretty good, granted, but they clearly rely on this to make a killing for a few weeks then close. Outrageously expensive, cost pretty much £25 for one night for one person. £5 a night for a car! How else are you going to get there?! Facilities were filthy portacabins, floors...

You pay for the proximity to the beach - which is perfect for surfing or enjoying the beach, can easily walk with boards to the sea. No need to use your car once you have arrived, which is ideal! Facilities are very basic and water taps etc. could benefit from better signage, there is a freezer to refreeze ice blocks....

Have stayed here a few times due to the close proximity to the surfing at Croyde but I think we've now had enough. Entry lane is still a but pot holey. There are insufficient facilities, still in portacabins, for the number of people they cram in, particularly on busy weekends (6 toilets and 6 showers for 3 fields worth of ladies...

This site is great, was really quiet, and the toilet facilities were good. Close to Croyde bay so could go bodyboarding, you also get access to the facilities at Ruda holiday park so very good value for money

All about the location but you better be sitting down when they tell you how much they want for two nights. 2adults plus 2under 12s Saturday and Sunday = £136-00. Supply and demand I guess but well over the top. Oh and then it's 9 quid for your car mate. Told him we had no tent as it was a...

Due to its proximity to the coast, we stayed at this campsite on the last night of walking a section of the SW Coast Path. After stumbling into Croyde, tired and hungry we found no signs to show where the campsite actually was and ended up in the holiday park reception which is a 15 min walk away. Thankfully (after...

The fields by the sand dunes are picturesque. 10 minute walk to Croyde along a metalled path. Younger crowd mostly but not too noisy. Basic but clean amenities. Staff friendly and hats off to Claire who lent me her personal phone to access the internet when I had no reception and was locked out of my car; so pleasant and...

The most expensive campsite we've ever stayed on doesn't give you much for your money except the location. Freezing showers in the men's, no toilet roll or hand towels in the women's and all facilities in 1 set of portacabins for a lot of people. Apparently you can use the facilities at the holiday camp a 20 minute walk away....
