We needed a break from a very busy work life. We arrived at Sandcastles and were blown away. We absolutely loved our stay and were able to relax with our family over Easter. The accommodation for clean and very comfortable. It ticked all of the boxes.

We arrived at Agnes Waters on 23/12/16. No shopping centres, no McDonalds, KFC no multi-nationals just locally owned small businesses. A truly fantastic experience the beach was fantastic and no crowds. Clean, pristine and peaceful,. Sandcastles and the owners and staff very friendly, the Christmas lunch and service impeccable. Will be going back again. Highly recommend.

The Beach House was the perfect base to enjoy everything that Agnes Water and 1770 have to offer. We had a 3 bedroom Beach House which had plenty of room for us all, privacy, beach access and an onsite restaurant.

The beach house room was spacious, had more then I expected, private pool, indoor and outdoor lounge and dining rooms, large kitchen and so close to the beach. Just perfect and relaxing! Heated spar and children's pool.

We stayed for 2 days to attend a wedding. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms in the motel section are the cheapest at $120/night. They were clean and basically appointed. We found them a little on the small side and not sound proof. This didn't worry us so much but after a big night, I may have...

Thank you for your review. Glad you mostly enjoyed your stay. The resort is perfect for wedding groups with a diverse choice of accommodation types and budgets. The motel rooms can be accessed from ground level. The studios, above the reception office, do have stairs to access. We are happy to assist with luggage if requested. Hope to see you...

We arrived early due to attending the local blues fest & our reception was not exactly warm but after a little wait we were allowed to check-in. We were very impressed with the spacious, clean & well-appointed 3 brm apartment with a pool nearby. A short walk to the beach via a pathway, could hear the waves from our room....

Thank you Lisa. Although the pathway is public and controlled by Gladstone Regional Council, they would not install lighting. We have since put up a series of solar lights that are activated when aomeone approaches. We have also recently updated our wifi system and hope the problems of the past are gone.

What a nice review, thank you! We do try to be helpful and friendly to all our guests and provide a high standard of accommodation in all the types we have. The Green Turtle has had some 'teething' problems but generally it is well accepted with good service and friendly staff. Look forward to having you stay with us again...

Sandcastles offers both motel rooms and fully self contained holiday houses (which are more like apartments). The property extends from the road to the beach with a path running through a treed area to the sand. The motel rooms are closest to the road , reception, restaurant and pool. The apartments are closer to the beach and have a private...

Situated very close to the beach with no roads to cross, just two minutes from our accommodation through a short pathway. A short walk to the Agnes water shops and about a 5 minute drive to 1770. We booked a two bedroom 'beach house', however they were stacked apartments and therefore the beach house description didn't quite fit. The apartments...

Thank you for your review. As explained in an earlier review response, nowhere do we state that our Beach Homes are 'houses', it states on the website, "these fully self-contained standard beach home apartments are spacious, modern and perfect for families." There is no 'beach house description' Also explained previously is the 'no air-conditioning', which most people are happy with,...

Great location, to beach and town centre. Beach house was open and light and airy. A Balinese style design that worked well. Plenty of room for the 7 of us. The Green Turtle cafe was great value and relaxed.
