Reception was OK, Cabin was very big and roomy and large ensuite. Bed was very basic and even looked uncomfortable. Location was terrific with a short walk to the Sunset pub and beach. Good cooking facilities if you planned to stay a while. We were there in winter and didn't need the air conditioner but surprised you had to pay...

Can recommend this place. It is conveniently located and comfortably laid out. Melds well with the laid back feel of Karumba! Hosts most helpful, in particular with transportation to and from the airfield. Very friendly.

Ok ok I'm a 5 star kind of lady so these were very basic. Would suit fisherman and families on a budget but for me they were just ok. They did have all the essentials, each one had a little balcony, great air con, hot showers, comfortable bed and reasonably priced. Laundry facilities available which was great for overnight stay....

A fully self contained cabin with ensuite and air-conditioning in a beautiful setting. Conveniently located close to beach and Tavern. We had a drink at the Tavern and watched the awesome sunset. Very helpful staff.

Nice comfortable basic style cabins across the road from the sunset tavern. Very helpful accommodating owners. Recommend for a fisherman with a boat in tow. We flew in and Geoff picked us up at the airstrip. Make sure you get a feed of prawns in Karumba

I found our boat to be well equipped and great value for money. I found it ideal to use in the Norman river and the surrounding waters. The Yamaha motor was a pleasure to use and really pushed the boat along yet still was good enough to trawl for Barra. The boat had all safety gear, maps esky, and landing net. All...

Stayed 4 nights mid July 2013. The weather was windy and nights cold. The fishing was poor due to the wind and dought. Property location excellent. Across the road from the Sunset tavern and quick walk to the waterfront to enjoy the compulsory sunset. Walked to all facilities. Our cabin had a double bed (not queen) and a set of...

Stayed here recently after a drive to Karumba to see the sunset. Other than a swift response to an inquiry about vacancies (we were the only people there) there was little contact with owners. Very disappointing when the owners don't take the time to even welcome you or say good morning and with no one else staying there it was...

We stayed here for 3months back in 2001 and the owners of this place couldn't be more accommodating. Very comfortable cabins, clean and well presented. Fishing is amazing, sunsets to die for.

Set in peaceful tropical gardens a block back from the beach, this venerable motel has presumably served generations of fisherfolk holiday-makers in their quest for barramundi and other sea creatures. Our room was spacious, clean, surrounded by lush vegetation, reasonably priced ($78), and newly painted but undeniably not new. The owners are friendly, live on-site, and you are adjacent to...
