We stayed in the Lava room for 2 nights in march. The room was lovely, big and very unique looking. The shower was in the bedroom (as friends staying together we had to make sure we locked the bedroom door too) which we found slightly odd. Excellent choice of tv and movie channels. Location wise it was excellently placed for...

Beautiful views of the ocean, great location for beach and restaurant. The room is well equipped, beautiful pool, comfortable beds, free WiFi. Every room seems to have a view of the ocean. Mara was very helpful and pleasant.

Owners have tried to improve the rooms for a price. The result is rather tacky improvements with cheap fittings. The room we stayed on the ground floor does require maintenance I.e. Repainting, window timber needs repair, ant problem. Air conditioning is noisy and cools only the main room. If security screen doors were fitted to front and back doors then...

So the pros first, this small Lodge is in a fantastic location a 3 minute walk to the beach and cracking local bar, it is clean and has a nice pool. The cons, It's not exactly a great value deal, it's a little overpriced for the sorta kitschy/Balinese decor not overly comfortable and our aircon rattled all night. With a...

On the way home from Brisbane we wanted to stop over on the way and we were keen to see 1770. WE didn't realise it was quite so far from Bruce highway. However we found 1770 but we had a little difficulty locating Sovereign lodge . ITs ha,f way up a very steep slope so beware if you have any...

We stayed here for one night as a last minute booking and were very happy with what we got. The views are amazing, the pool is great (could use a bit of a spruce up), the apartment was comfortable and felt like we were in another country! Walking distance (steep climb) to everything including the beach.

Stayed 2 nights as we were attending a wedding in Agnes Water (5 minutes drive away). Hotel was clean and comfortable and the room facilities were great. The kitchen was well appointed and the view over the water was amazing. There was a short walk to the beach and caravan park but a hire car was useful for the 1.5...

Does not deserve its 5 star rating, although the location and the view are undoubtfully supporting it, and the current Property Mger is lovely. We stayed 9 days in the penthouse - make if clear it is NOT a 4 people 2 bathrooms apartment (the second room is extremely difficult of access and has no toilet except going down this...

On my first visit to Seventeen Seventy I'm so glad I chose to stay at 1770 Sovereign Lodge which is perched above the bay with sea views from every apartment and a bar/restaurant and a cafe a short walk away. It feels like a home away from home with a warm welcome from Mara. They are also pet-friendly. I would...
